Once the unconscious students had been taken out of the classroom, it was finally time for the remaining students to resume their battle to determine who amongst them would be going up against the second year students. Currency, there were 17 students left standing, meaning 7 would have to go before the match would begin.
A student with a serpent class ability was currently fighting against Kayden. Knowing the effects that the poison could have on him, he was doing the best he could to avoid all of his opponent's strikes.
"You may be fast, but don't you dare think that you can win in this fight against me! I am the strongest poison user in this whole school! Hahah! No one can compare to my skill and caliber!" He yelled, rushing in, both his hands coated in a thick layer of position as he swiped g them about, hoping that they would make contact with his opponent's skin.
"For someone who likes to talk a lot, you sure don't know how to back up your words!" Kayden said. "Oh, yeah, that's right. You're a hypocrite. Just like the other weak fools!" He said, laughing to himself.
"Why you mangy mutt! I'll show you my true power!" He yelled, thrusting both his arms forward, and coming out from both his hands, was a continuous current of a greenish substance that travelled fast in the air, going straight for Kayden.
Thankfully, he was able to see this just in time, dodging it and using his intermediate grade weapon to teleport away.
"Huh! Where did he go?" The student wondered, turning his head left and right in every direction, hoping that he would see his opponent before he was able to launch an attack that would catch him off guard.
Suddenly, he could feel a sharp pain coming from his upper back. While he was busy scanning one direction in hopes of finding his opponent, Kayden had reappeared right behind him, and had delivered a punch right towards his upper back, directly hitting his spinal cord, abd the next second, his body fell towards the floor.
"As long as it's not the head that I had directky hit, then he should be fine from that attack," Kayden said. "Well, it seems like the fighting is finally over. Time to face off against those snobby second years again."
Currency, there were only ten students left standing, seeing as this was the case, the fighting had come to an end, and it was now time for their real training for the day to begin.
Unlike the previous time, since the students were already showing considerable progress in their training, the instructors had decided to make the fights this time around one-on-one.
With this, it would be one fight year, fighting against a second year to help them improve their skills more.
The students who had made it out of the battle Royale were Kayden, Kayla, Shawn, Josh, Steve, Hilda, Kumon, Blake, Zain, and finally, Dylan.
The students were allowed to choose who they would begiung up against, and so, while the others were selecting their sparring partners, Kayden had decided to pick the student who had replaced Henry for the second year students.
'I wonder if this guy is as hot tempered as the original,' Kayden thought, getting into the fighting stance, his teleportation ring on his finger ready to be used. 'I also hope he's not as crazy as him and actually goes along with the rules. Well, there's only one way to find that out.'

Meanwhile, while all of this was going on, a vehicle had suddenly arrived in front of the military base, and coming out of the locomotive, were two people, well, they were being dragged out of the vehicles unconscious, their bodies being proped against the walls of the large building.
It wasn't long until both individuals had woken up, and seeing the man standing in front of them, they wasted no time with greetings as they wished to go inside right away.
Understanding their situation, the academy staff decided to do just that, as he guided them both into the building. They had passed by a large number of tech devices, gone up through an elevator, and it was only after walking through a long hallway, did they finally arrive at their destination.
"As you may know, he is being detained here after the incident that had taken place not too long ago. I hope you understand why we had to do it, and not hold our actions against us," the man said, as he opened the large doors the next moment. They then walked towards another door and stepped into another room, and seeing who it was that had come to pay the academy a visit, Mike had decided to personally guide them to where their son was being kept.
"I'm sorry that you both have to witness such a sight, but I assure you that we will get to the bottom of this matter soon, and find a way to turn your son back to normal," Mike said, not wanting to step in the toes if these people. He wasn't sure if the academy would defend him if the Ven family decided to go after him for what they had done to their son.
'I think it's best that they don't know that their one son has suddenly become two. Who knows what they might do then if they find that out? They might take him away from the academy, or even worse, they might decide to go against this entire academy in general,' Mike thought, ensuring that they didn't even glance at the cell right next to it.
"What could have possibly happened to cause this, huh?! Aren't you people meat to watch over our beloved children?!" One of the two people who had come in today, the husband, had yelled, grabbing Mike by the scruff of his shirt. "And you go ahead and call yourselves the defenders of humanity, when you couldn't even save my son from whatever it was that happened to him!"
"I understand your anger, but please, what do you intend to achieve by vending your anger out on myself? At the end of the day it doesn't acheive anything, and I myself am doing the best I can to discover a way to solve this situation," Mike tried to defend himself.
"Situation? A situation?! The matter regarding our son's well-being is nothing but a 'situation' to you?!" The man's wife yelled, slapping Mike across the face. "If anything bad happens to my son, then I will make sure that you not only get fired from your job here, but also that you will never ever be able to work anywhere ever again!
"You will become so broke that you will scurry the streets like an overgrown rat! No one will help you, or even spare you a glance. You will starve till you die! That I promise you if you don't do something to help my son fast!" She declared, pointing her finger angrily at him.
________
The match between Kayden and the second year student had begun, and immediately, the student had swung down with his weapon, which was a sword. The sword was able to produce a pale blue flame as he swung it. Curious about this, Kayden thought it would be best to avoid those flames to the best of his abilities.
"You seem more calm and collected, unlike that idiot from the second year. Tell me, what's your secret to being so calm and level-headed, huh? I promise I won't tell anyone. I'll keep it a secret," Kayden tried to taunt his opponent, but it seemed like his tricks weren't going to work on this one.
"You keep running your mouth like that and your feet will join it soon enough. Then they'll both finally have something in common," the boy said, getting in closer, using his sword swings to push Kayden further back.
"Temper, temper. Don't go ahead and make a mistake like that classmate of yours!" Kayden decided to do some more Taunting, thinking that it would help sway the mood of his current opponent. "You seem quite skilled, but don't let your feelings get to you," he said, bendi g his back backwards to avoid a swipe from his opponent's sword.
"I can tell you want me to fall for your antics, but they won't work, boy," the sword year student declared, swinging his sword diagonally across from right to left downwards, but Kayden was able to move back just in time.
He was glad that he had fast reflexes and was able to react just in time, not fully understanding just how fast the second year student was. Still, he wasn't just willing to keep on dodging through out the sparring match.
'How do I land a hit on this guy?!' he screamed in his mind, ducking his head, then twisting his hips, then jumping backwards, whatever it took to keep the sharp side of the blade from making contact with his skin. 'He's fast, really fast, and it is quite obvious he is very focused now. I need to be very careful with my next move.'
