"Straight to the point. If only you were always like this, then you and I wouldn't have so many problems now, would we?" Riley asked, staring up at him with a smile on her face. "Only God knows why you're built like a mountain. I hate how every time I want to look at your face, I have to strain my neck and back so much.
"If I could, then I would've taken some of your height for myself. It would do good for me during times when I'm reaching out for high objects. I would no longer have to call for poles like you or Riley over here to help me out during such times," she said, slapping him against the arm.
"You would, wouldn't you? I guess you hate being short as much as a short person would. Good for you," Mike said, standing up, it was then that the student he was sitting on, not being able to handle the pressure and weight of the man any longer, had collapsed onto the floor, exhaustion visible on his face and body as sweat could be seen dripping all over his body.
His chest was moving up and down rapidly, as he was struggling to breathe in oxygen. His face tightened as his muscles were really tense from being strained so much. He wasn't even a buff student to begin with. His frame resembled one who barely paid the gym a visit. Students like him typically relied more on their ability, mainly because they tend to have stronger abilities, making it so they never really felt the need to train their bodies physically before joining the academy.
"Oh, please," Riley rolled her eyes at what he had said.
"Roll them harder. Maybe you find whatever's left of that brain of yours from after you decided to become an instructor," he responded.
At that point, a heat could be felt coming off from Riley, as her eyes began to glow bright yellow.
"Why you little punk!" She yelled, as balls of flames had formed in her hands, and she was just about to toss them around, when Lucas had quickly intervened before the scene became more ugly than it already was, urging her to calm down and even pulling her back.
Although she would hit him and jab his face with her pointy elbows, he ignored all of that just to ensure that these two wouldn't get into a fight during now of all times.
"You're a faisty little kitten. Well maybe I may just decide to put you down one day. I'm just wondering how I'll tell my brother the bad news," he wondered, placing his hand on his chin as he began to think.
"That's it!" She yelled, her eyes wide open in anger as shestruggled frantically to break free of Lucas's grasp, but he just proved to be far too strong for her, as all she was doing was just tiring herself out in the process.
"Tell us what you know. How was Henry Ven able to escaped from here?" Lucas asked, thinking that he was the only reasonable person to be asking the questions right now.
"Keep that bitch under control, will ya? Can't have these rascals thinking they have a shot against me just cause she comes in here and starts acting all high and mighty!" He yelled, shaking his fists.
"Just answer my question and we'll leave!" Lucas shouted back.
"Alright!" He responded back. "If I'm being honest with you, I didn't even know that he had escaped. I know this may come as a shock to you, but that's just the truth. I've been in here all day, keeping watch over him, and not once did I see him act strange.
"And you know what's the most disturbing thing? When the incident was taking place, I had noticed something that I had kept to myself for sometime now, and I'm guessing that those who brought those two students here haven't yet told you what they saw, right?" Mike asked.
"And what might that be?" Lucas said.
Instead of responding, Mike started walking towards a door in the room, and opening it, he gestured for Lucas to follow him. At this point, he had let go of Riley, seeing as she seed to have calm down. Though he noticed her giving Mike deathglares and even made hostile gestures towards him more than once.
Following Mike closely behind, it wasn't long until they had all reached what it was he was trying to show them. Looking into the containment cell, he didn't see anything out of the ordinary at first.
"Now, look at the cell right next to it," Mike said.
Doing just that, he had suddenly paused for a second, then, his gaze shifted from one cell to the one right next to it simultaneously. He was started to think that he was being dilusional. Perhaps it was because he hadn't eaten lunch that day. But what if that wasn't the case at all?
"Am I seeing two Henry Vens…?" Lucas asked, his voice trailing off near the end of his sentence.
"Yeah. We still don't know why this is a case. I'm suspecting that one of them is a fake, perhaps one of the other students using a transformation ability or some other ability that makes to it to allow them to achieve such a form, allowing them to become a second Henry Ven," Mike explained.
'Two of the same student… How could this be?' Lucas wondered. "And what about the other student?" He asked.
Mike then gestured towards the third cell. "He's over there. Glad that brat doesn't have an evil twin. I can't imagine having to deal with two devils and one of their apprentices in one day. Anyways, are there any other questions you wish to ask before you leave?" Mike asked Lucas.
Lucas thought ling and hard before giving a response.
"Do you perhaps know how or where this 'second Henry' came about?" Lucas asked. "Perhaps we can find out a way to prevent more students from going rogue in the future," he proposed.
"Nope, no idea. Dude just popped into your training class and wrecked havoc. And now, I have to deal with three rigue students instead of two," Mike said, shaking his head with his eyes closed while letting out a sigh, his shoulders going up and down as well. It was clear that all this work at the academy was Turing him out, and the fact that he was barely getting enough time to sleep.ir take care kf himself wss really affecting him.
Maybe that was just the case, and the fact that he could see two Henrys was maybe as a result of not getting sufficient sleep.
"Well, in that case, I think we're done here. We're leaving now," Lucas said, as he escorted Riley out of the room with him. "Next time that I'm sent here, I'll make sure you won't accompany me next time if this is how you'll act," Lucas grumbled as they left the room.
"Ayo uncle! Get my twenty grand soon or else I'll beat your arse during the next family reunion!" She yelled, shaking her fist in the air, not caring about the number of students in the roin who were currently staring at her with odd looks on their faces.
Feeling like they had gotten all the information they coukd out from the military man, they had both decided to head straight towards the magical weapons class to see how the students were doing over there. They knew that the students would be practicing against the second years, and wished to watch the students' performance today.
Once they had made it into the classroom, the first thing that had welcomed them was a werewolf which had just randomly appeared in front of them. At first, they were scared, but then, they remembered that there was one student at the academy capable of pulling off such a transformation.
Turning to face the both of them, Kayden was shocked to see that there were two other instructors present, but not just that, they were two instructors who had helped fight against the rogue students from the previous class. Kayden was hoping that if he explained to them what was going on, that they would interview and help the student down.
"Sir, ma'am! There's a problem. It's another student. I think he's gone rogue!" Kayden yelled, cancellung out his transformation so that they would be able to hear what he had to say clearly. "I was fighting him just now. Everything was going okay until this student had just exploded with power, radiating with so much of it that I was finding it hard to tell whether or not it was the same student I was fighting before."
"It's alright. We're here now. We'll deal with this," Lucas said, placing a hand on Kayden's shoulder and offering him a reassuring smile. "You just stay back and let me handle this," he then turned his attention towards the direction where a bright glowing light could be seen, and began walking in that direction.
"Wow, I guess guys like you are gonna start popping like weeds, huh?" A voice said, walking closer towards the student. "I guess I'll have to put you down, as well," Lucas said, as his eyes began to glow with power
