After the events that had just taken place, Kayden couldn't stop thinking about a number of things. For one, there was the quest he had just completed. It stated that he had leveled up a total of four times. And also, there was the fact that there were a lot of students who seemed to be gaining strength far more quickly than others.
Still, despite all of this, he still had to discover what had happened to Paul, no matter what it might take. He had already gone ahead and interrogated some of the people he deemed as suspects. At the end of the day, he didn't really know Paul that well. There might have been others who could've been responsible for putting him in the state he was in.
At the same time, this event also served to show why he was to fear students such as Kayla Ven. She was able to grasp the technique called Mana aura and was even able to do something similar to what the mystery division instructor was capable of.
All that in just a single lesson. There was still a considerable amount of time before the expedition course. Who knew how much stronger she might become till then?
Later on, and the class had come to an end. Although everyone was still shaken up after everything that had just taken place, there was currently no room for them to rest as they were mandated to head over to their next class for the day.

While the students were busy training in the magical weapons class, some of their instructors who were present during the incident had been called to give a detailed report of what had happened.
Stepping into the room were Lucas and Riley, two instructors from the abilities class. Stepping forward, Lucas did the best he could to explain the situation to the board, and it was now left for them to come up with a final decision as to what action they would take regarding the situation.
"This truly is a serious matter. Very well, we will grant you permission to investigate this matter further. You are free to interrogate whomever you wish in the academy. Whatever it would take for you to uncover the truth. And, if there is anyone who is unwilling to cooperate with your investigation, just show them this," the next second, one of the members of the board had handed over a brightly-coloured badge over to Lucas.
"With this, I doubt that there would be anyone who would be unwilling to assist you. Now, you are dismissed," he said, gesturing for the both of them to leave.
Once they had both given stern salutes, they had exited the room, and were already on their way to the Arena to begin their investigation.
"Aren't you worried about how he was able to escape? I mean, there's Mike. That guy's huge, and he's also a very strong military officer. I don't think that a single rogue student is something he couldn't handle," Lucas said, as they both walked down the hallway.
"Of course, I am. I care about the welfare of this academy just like you. Sure, there's the money, but I still care about what goes on in this academy, because whatever affects it, will potentially affect the civilians outside," Riley replied.
"Sure, you're worried about your friends and family. Well, so am I," Just as Lucas had said that, Riley had suddenly stopped and turned to face him, blocking his path.
"Hey! It's not just about them! There are thousands! No, millions of people out there are counting on people like us to protect them. How do you think we can do that when we're too busy solving an internal issue?!" She snapped back.
"Well, there was that time when a Shale crashed during that inter-student competition. I'm pretty sure we handled that situation quite well. Besides, with or without issues, we're still here to fight for humanity. So why don't we stop bickering like little children and get on with this investigation?" Lucas asked.
"Sure, you would change the topic once you realize I'm starting to make sense," Riley said, raising an eyebrow.
"Wow, I'm glad to see how wary you are of the fact that you don't usually make sense. It's quite obvious since you said that you just started to make sense. Guess all that stuff you said before was nothing but bullshit. I really feel bad for you. I really thought that it was in my bulls that took shits. I guess now I know that some humans can. How wonderful," the next moment, Lucas had broken into a fit of laughter, holding his stomach tightly as his body shook uncontrollably.
A slap had connected with the side of his face, and on the other end of that outstretched arm, on her face, was a furious expression as Riley began raining curses on Lucas for his hurtful remarks.
'This is why I choose to stay single,' Lucas thought, as he began dodging the blows and strikes that Riley would send towards his direction. Whatever it took to avoid getting his hair and face ruined by such unnecessary violence.

At this point in time, Kayden wasn't really sure what he was still trying to learn from this class. In the end, all they had access to were basic grade and a couple intermediate grade weapons. There weren't any weapon of the advance grade or higher.
Quite frankly, Kayden was hoping that he could get his hands on something better than his Ring of teleportation. But also, he was hoping that there would come another time when the system would give him another quest.
"Hey, do you think Dan's gonna be alright?" Marcus had suddenly asked, getting close to Kayden during the class. Although he didn't really know Dan quite well. Over time, during the time they had spend training in the simulation, they had spent a lot of time talking, and after all that time, he had formed some sort of connection with the student.
At this point, he was just hoping that Dan was okay, wherever he was. Most likely, he was in that room in the Arena, either being detained or serving some sort of severe punishment. Since this wouldn't be his first time there, Marcus hoped that it wouldn't be as difficult for him to cope as it was last time.
Moreover, this time around it would only be him over there, with no one he knows with him. Marcus just hoped that that wouldn't affect him too much over there.
"I also hope he's doing alright. After he went ahead and turned berserk, I don't think the academy's gonna go lightly on him. Chances are, he's going through some serious shit over there. Plus, you know how this academy values strength.
"Who knows, instead of doing the unthinkable to him, they might just find a way to use his strength to their advantage. There are a lot of ability users over here, with all sorts of abilities. They might even find a way to transfer his power on to someone else, that way, they would have a power that could potentially rival the Shales in the future, without having to deal with his irrational outbursts.
"It's a beneficial solution for them, if you so me," Kayden said.
"That's partly what I'm afraid of. The guys over here don't really care about us. I've seen it myself. Everything we do here. Everything we are forced to go through. It's all just to produce stronger students.
"At the end of the day, it's all just about building the ultimate soldier to go against tbe aliens. They don't even care about those of us who are either too weak or come from poor backgrounds. To them, we are nothing but canoon fodder. And if we are unable to keep up, then that's just our problem."
Today, a group of students from the second year were present, their purpose, just like that previous days, was to help train these younger students to help them improve. Since Henry was currently being detained, another student had been selected to take his place, but that wasn't all that had been replaced.
Once the instructors felt like the students had spent just enough time training amongst themselves, they then decided to allow the students to fight amongst themselves to determine who amongst them would have the privilege of going against the second year students.
"Alright, this time we see who amongst us all will be able to fight those monsters," Kayden had pointed towards the second years, and the next second, the match had begun. The students immediately began attacking whomever they believed they could take out. However, an issue with this was that everyone was doing this, meaning that it was the strong chasing the weak, while the weak were going after those far weaker.
No one wanted to face off against someone they felt was above them in skill and power.
