Dan had turned his attention towards the student who had started all of this in the first place. All he wanted was to just fight the strong to prove his strength. However, now there were a whole lot of people in the way. He couldn't afford to let that slide, as he would have to do something about it to change the way things are.
The instructors, although they knew what was necessary, were somewhat cautious, one of the reasons being that they didn't want to accidentally do something that might end up killing the student. Despite the fact that he was currently a threat, that didn't get the fact that his current power was something worth considering.
They needed someone like him to be on humanity's side.
"Everyone! Wait!" Lucas suddenly shouted towards the other instructors. "I have an idea!"
The other instructors suddenly stopped what they were doing and turned to face him.
"What is it?!" The female instructor from before said.
Lucas had turned his head towards all the students present before replying. "We all know that any one of us could easily deal with him. But what if we instead choose to use this as an opportunity to further train the students. We could watch from the side, making sure that no one gets badly hurt, while they deal with the threat themselves," he explained.
Everyone was shocked upon hearing this.
Dan had then ran towards one of the instructors, swiping his leg up in the air to deliver a kick to the head, seeing that that move had failed. He proceeded to attack with his arms, swiping them left and right while also punching forward, whatever it would take to hit the person before him.
"Please, I am an experienced fighter and martial artist. And don't get me started on my real power. Do you really think that such meager attacks can harm me?" The man had said.
"I guess not. Then in that case, I might as well try something else," Dan said, as he had suddenly leapt into the air, attacking himself to one of the walls. "Now, I have a much wider range and area to deliver my attacks!" The next moment, he had channeled out a large vortex of flames, using both his hands, while rapidly changing his location as well.
"Everyone! Brace yourselves!" The instructor of the razor class division had said, before creating a large barrier with his ability, protecting them all from the flames.
"We have to deal with this before someone seriously gets hurt!" The man yelled, waiting until the flames had dispersed before canceling his ability. "This is no time for another training session!"
The instructors had quickly rushed towards the rogue student, however, it was then that something had burst through the doors, and entering the room, was another boy with red glowing eyes and flames covering his entire body.
"Henry?! But how?! How did he manage to get out?!" The man yelled, struggling to process just what was going on.
"Who does this guy think he is?! Does he think he can just barge in here and steal my sparring partner?!" Dan yelled out in frustration, letting go of the wall he was clinging onto, falling towards the floor. "Hey you! Flame boy! Show me what ya got!" Dan yelled, quickly running towards Henry.
"This is our chance to strike!" The man yelled, ordering the students to move towards the very end of the class, opposite the entrance. "Lucas, you and Riley will fight off the both of them, while the rest of us will look after and protect the students," the man ordered.
"Hey! Why do I have to fight them?! Don't you know that my ability isn't really suited for this sort of thing?! I'm more adept at fighting non-flammable fighters, thank you very much!" He snapped back.
"There's no time to argue! Just use that fancy light show you showed your students and defeat any one of them, while Riley will do the same!" He said, and without waiting fir a response, everyone had gone straight to work.
'Well, none of that is gonna stop me from what I plan to do,' Kayden thought, staring at the system message blocking his vision.
[Quest Received!]
[It seems like more students are eager to grow stronger these days]
[Defeat any one of them to level up!]
'That's right, the system said that I would learn more about the history of the werewolves once I reach level 50. Well, I guess I need to take this quest seriously now. Plus, it didn't really state how many levels I will reach by completing it,' now, all that was left was to figure out a way to actually complete the quest.
Henry had simply moved out of the way to dodge the attack. Then, while Dan was doing his best to regain his balance, he had delivered a slash with his hand, covered with his flames, almost forming a solid object as it had made contact with Dan's skin, piercing it and drawing blood.
"Hah! You're nothing but a pathetic first year. Do you really think you stand a chance against me?!" Henry asked, covering his other arms in flames as well, firming the same weapon, before closing the distance to deliver more slashes.
"Don't you dare look down on me because you're older! Do you really think I'm weak?!" Dan shouted back, allowing his flames to rage freely, covering half of the classroom, abd even escaping out of the room. Henry seemed unaffected by this, as he had moved through the flames like it was nothing, before stabbing Dan in the arm.
"Why didn't you dodge that you bastard!" He yelled, pulling both of the blades out and slashing at his chest as well.
"What's… happening," all of a sudden, Dan was beginning to feel out of breath, as he was struggling to move, making it impossible for him to dodge the attack. He could also feel an intense pain in his chest, as he ad fallen to his knees, blood dripping from his wounds.
"I guess you've given all you could, huh? How weak!" Henry said, laughing hysterically as he raised one arm up, ready to deliver the final blow.
"Don't you dare kill him!" Lucas shouted, quickly sprinting across the room to meet with them before he could swipe down the blade. Grabbing Henry by the wrist, he punched him in the abdomen, and knee him right in the gut. "As much I would've liked to use my ability, this situation isn't really the best one for that!"
"Do you think I care about what you think?! You pathetic man?!" Henry said, opening his mouth wide, as a breath of fresh had come out, hitting him dead in the head.
"Thank God I have good fire resistance," Lucas muttered to himself, as he had grabbed onto Henry's face with his free hand, and a yellow glow could be seen leaving his hand, going straight into Henry's head.
"Mana Infect," Lucas said, and the next second, Henry had stopped moving altogether.
'This is my chance!" Kayden shouted in his head, as he had quickly ran forward from the group, appearing right in front of both Lucas and Henry, before the woman named Riley decided to get involved, and landed a finishing blow, right before Dan had lost consiousness.
"What do you think you're doing, boy?!" One of the adults shouted at him, quickly rushing after him after taking note of what had just happened. "Don't you know it's too dangerous to be so close to them?! Were you trying to get yourself killed or something?!" He asked, grabbing him by the arm before dragging him back.
"As much as you wanted to help out, it's not your fight!"

Reading the system messages, Kayden couldn't help but smile as he was forcefully escorted back to where the other students were standing. Meanwhile, both Dan and Henty had been dealt with, meaing that everyone was finally safe.
"What do you think happened?" Riley asked, walking towards Lucas. "Do you think this has something to do with Purge?"
"Don't know. I didn't even know they would be active at this time. Maybe it's that other group that I've been hearing rumors about," he replied, shaking his head.
"What? You mean the one that wants to give the Shales more power? If that's the case, then doesn't that mean that we should go ahead and investigate further before this matter gets out of hand?" Lucas suggested.
"I guess you're right. We wouldn't want something bad to happen to these students. Most especially those who have shown a lot of potential today," she said, having both Henry and Dan in mind.
