Chapter 42 - Martial Arts

Kayden had quickly left the room and headed towards the canteen to have his breakfast just like everyone else. While eating his food, he couldn't stop thinking about the things Kayla had said to him back then. If there was a chance that this group was operating at the academy, then what was their goal in the first place? What were they trying to achieve by getting the students at the academy involved with their operations?

Moreover, how was he involved in everything that was happening? Did it have something to do with his ability and his system? Or what it something else? Kayden couldn't stop thinking about all of this for the rest of the day.

Meanwhile, during the combat class, a bunch of other martial arts techniques had been introduced to the students by the instructors. Kayden, as well as other students such as Zain, Hilda, Paul, and others, were able to pick up on the lessons a lot faster than others. Learning these different techniques, Kayden would occasionally think of how he would implement them in future fights. Meanwhile, the combat class for the day had come to an end, and everyone hot ready to leave, heading towards the abilities class.

Ever since their instructor had been sent out on a mission, the three students had been assigned a substitute teacher in her place. Unlike her, this teacher seemed more friendly and encouraging towards them. They overtime, they slowly grew to like him more than their main teacher, when hoping that the woman doesn't come back to continue teaching them.

After two weeks of simulation training, the training was meant to come to an end, however, Lucas was able to obtain permission from his superiors to allow them continue with the training for the rest of the month, allowing Kayden, Dan, and Marcus, to grow stronger with time.

The three students would spend the next two hours hunting down basic grade beasts and drinking the Mana potions left in their place once they had slayed a beast. Ever since the over two weeks ago, they hadn't come across the red-haired adventurer since then, making everything all the more easier for them.

After consuming all the Mana potions he had earned, Kayden's Mana holding capacity had risen to twenty-two thousand. The two hours were up, and it was finally time for the last class for the day. The magical weapons'class went by smoothly as well, and the two hours quickly passed by.

It was five in the evening, and everyone had left the classroom, heading back to their dorm rooms to freshen up and rest. Kayden decided to do the same just like everyone else. Tomorrow was a big day, after all. He needed all the rest he would get to ensure that he would wake up the next day fully energized and focus for the event tomorrow.

Somewhere in the forest in front of the first year building, a bunch of second year students had gathered, forming a circle, and in-between that formation, there was a symbol drawn on the ground, which slowly began to glow as the students chanted in a low voice.
