Kayden was unable to move from his current position. Feeling a powerful force keeping him in place, he began to hear a female voice speak to him. Moreover, he recognized who it was that was talking to him. It was that second year student whom he had fought against yesterday. She seemed more than eager to get her revenge, putting him in his current situation.
Suddenly, his environment had changed, what was in the hallway of the academy, was quickly replaced by dirt and dense vegetation. Then, a couple students had appeared seemingly out of midair, and in front of them, was the blue-haired female student who glared intently at him.
Not saying a single word, she began to channel her energy in her hands, creating two balls of light and shooting them out, causing them to hit Kayden square in the chest. Feeling the effect of her ability, Kayden could tell that it was a lightning ability, however, he wasn't expecting it to be so powerful in the first place.
'I need to do something quickly!' his mind began to think of multiple options he made have had to get away, however, nothing seemed like it would work now. He was quite a distance away from the main building, in a dense part of the forest as well. Unless someone was passing by or actively looking for them, then no one else would find out what was currently going on.
The teenage girl had a deranged look on her face as she began to spam out attacks at the first year student. She had no intentions of holding back, as her lightning power affected Kayden greatly. He could feel his skin and fur burning, along with his insides. Slowly, wounds began to form on his body, and he began to bleed.
Kayden howled out in pain, forcing through the ability, but, no sound was produced. Looking to the right, he could see one of the second year students who had his hand held out, and a green glow could be seen coming out of his eyes and hand. This was the power of a tracker class ability that allows a user to nullify sound.
The pain continued to build up. He could slowly feel himself loosing control. All of the pressure of the day had really gone far to push him towards the edge, and now, seeing as he had no way of escaping these students, his mind began to drift. Despite being paralyzed, his body began to transform, and he became a beast.
"It doesn't matter whether or not you take that form! The fact is that I'm just more powerful than you! You just need to accept that and learn to have some respect!" the girl yelled, rushing towards Kayden, before punching him across the face with her electrified fists, sending his head swinging to the side from the impact.
She delivered kicks and jabs to his abdomen, causing him to puke out blood. She then grabbed him by the throat, bringing his face closer to her, before sending a large amount of electricity through his body, further burning his body.
'It was about time this twerp learnt his place!' Henry thought to himself, grinning from ear to ear. In the first place, all it took was Tyler to keep him in place, while Patricia would do all of the damage. The rest of them where more of spectators than anything else, while also serving as a means of further intimidation. She wanted to make sure that this student would learn his lesson once and for all.
His Mana was helping to heal his injuries, however, she wasn't going to allow him the opportunity to heal properly, as she continued to inflict serious injuries onto his body.
Minutes later, and what was once a vibrant lookong teenage boy, had been altered into what could only be described as a partially dead carcass found on the road side. His body was riddled with multiple cuts and bruises. Blood could be seen oozing from every opening on his body. He would constantly emit a low wince from time to time.
He was still in his werewolf form, despite the heaving beating he had been forced to endure. Kayden was barely conscious at this point. It had taken something beyond his typical will power to barrel through every attack. Even now, his vision was slightly blurred as his body swayed from side to side.
Upon seeing that his classmate was done, Tyler had deactivated his ability, allowing the student to fall into the dirt, loosing consciousness. Although this may not have actually helped the students in any way, the need to ensure there dominance would always be a reason for them to go through such lengths.
"Jake, transport him back into the building. We're done here," she said, and the student quickly did as told. Placing his hand on Kayden's back, his body had suddenly vanished. Once he had reappeared, he did so alone, and now, it was time for them all to head back to where they came from.
Meanwhile, Kayden had been slumped against the hallway where the second year students had chosen to ambush him. The beast weapons class was also going on at this point in time, however, everyone was already there so there was no one to see or even help Kayden at this point in time.
Slowly opening his eyes, he quickly realized that he was in a hospital bed. Hearing the sound of continuous beeping, he knew that he was in the school infermary. Still, he was wondering who it was that had brought him here in the first place. Looking around, the only person he could see was the nurse herself, who was enjoying a large sandwich and a drink.
"Don't worry you self too much. I was the one that brought you here. I was just on my way back here after getting myself lunch when I saw you unconscious in the hallway, so I decided to bring you in myself and fix you up," she said, taking a large bite out of her sandwich.
"Thanks..." he said, feeling his head in his hand. There was this constant tinging pain that seemed like it didn't want to go away. Shaking his head, he felt a jolt of lightning flash through his body, causing him to jerk back in response to the shock and pain.
The nurse suddenly stopped what she was doing and turned to look at Kayden. She seemed to be thinking about something, but Kayden didn't want to ask her what it was since he had more important things to deal with at the moment.
"Man, I'm seriously late for class! Those instructors are gonna kill me if they find out that I wasn't there today!" he began to panic, struggling to get back onto his feet. However, the moment his feet met with the floor, a sharp pain travelled across his body, causing his legs to buckle, and his forehead to hit the metallic part of the bed before finally collapsing on the floor.
The nurse had taken another bit bite out of her sandwich before turning to face him once again. Seeing the state he was in, she decided to walk over and lend him a helping hand, putting him back on the hospital bed once again.
"Now isn't the time to worry about other things. Your body took quite a beating, you know. Whoever is responsible sure is a very powerful student," she said, while reconnecting the tubes which he had pulled out before back into his body.
Remembering the students who had attacked him earlier, he was well aware of the fact that they weren't just ordinary students. In fact, they were some of the strongest students in the entire academy. Kayden knew that he wouldn't be able to hold a Kindle to them even in a one-on-one combat. Plus, this experiment had made him aware of one thing-that no matter how much stronger he was, there would always be people like them who would use their superiority and make your life a living nightmare.
After redoing her operations because the teenager was far too impatient, the nurse then decided to head back over to her desk deal with some other pressing matters, while Kayden's mind began to drift towards how things might be back at home.
"The fact that Stacy doesn't even have an ability, I hope that she doesn't one day encounter people like those guys, who will punish her and make her feel pain for absolutely no reason," he then clenched his fist in anger. "I swear, if I ever find out that someone harmed her while I'm here, then that person is going to pay dearly!" he said, his eyes glowing slightly.
While all of this was going on, Dan and Marcus had made it back to their dorm room and were ready to call it a day, however, it was then that they noticed how isolated the hallway was. There wasn't a single student in sight. Further more, it was still daylight outside, meaning only one thing. Looking at each other, they had both come to the same realization that they had just made a terrible mistake.
