"Fuck. I can't believe I missed that" Allen's disappointed voice said from the other side of the line. "I can only imagine her face all pissed off."
Kyle laughed, bouncing a tennis ball at the wall in front of him while he laid on the couch of his living room. "Yeah man. She was pissed off for real. But it was cute, because she was all flushed and shy afterwards."
Allen also laughed.
"I'm happy for you, Kyle. Honestly, so stubborn, you two."
Even though Allen couldn't see him, Kyle shrugged.
"Yeah. I just hope everything goes back to normal. I—Jelenna and I met the other day. She's crazy, Al. She even threw a glass at me."
Kyle heard a loud thud from the other side, followed by a low curse.
"What? You called the police, right?"
"I didn't. Some other customer must've." Allen was about to ask, but Kyle spoke first. "We were at Bailey's dinner. I wasn't going to meet with her alone in a million years, dude."
