Cassidy's eyes fluttered open after the chirping outside her window woke her up. She blinked a couple of times, trying to get used to the light sneaking inside the room. She recognized the beautiful set of sparkling stars hanging from the ceiling, and realized she was in her bedroom.
She swallowed, noticing an unfamiliar weight over her waist. And slowly turning her head to her left, she saw a pair of long eyelashes still closed beside her.
Kyle's slow and steady breathing tickled her cheek, his messy hair falling lazily over his face.
She couldn't help but gaze at his perfectly outlined face. More than five minutes passed, when his vibrant green eyes, still drowsy, opened; looking back at her.
He breathed in sharply, a shy smile creeping into his face.
"Mornin', sunshine." His husky voice greeted her.
