Snow and Mia went to sleep quickly once they had cuddled into a real bed. Mia was thrilled that she was getting a chance for some one-on-one time with Snow. They did talk a little while they got comfortable. It seemed to Snow the more that she heard about Mia's life the more she could see why Kathy was so important to her and why she loved Gina so much.
Gina and Katie spent most of the night just chatting it was like old times before anything happened to Gina's parents. Especially since they did not have to go help in the Kitchen in the morning, they could sleep in. It was going to be nice in a way but they were not going to be learning anything or teaching anyone either.
They knew that they were not going to be getting up early so there was no problem staying up late. The two finally got tired enough to sleep and they put out the light. Gina could tell things were different now they were still close, but it was just feeling like things had changed between them. She just let it go, but the feelings that they were drifting apart a little was like a dull hurt that never seemed to go away. Gina knew that a lot of this was still coming from what was going on between Katie and Jake.
Gina let Katie know that she was there for her for whatever she needed but she was feeling like part of the innocence that Katie had before was now gone and she would not be getting it back.
The two awoke with a startle as Mia jumped on the bed. Neither of them was ready for that it was far too early for them to start the day and a pillow fight quickly started and stopped just as fast as Snow asked what was going on.
Threw the string of giggles they said nothing was going on but Snow knew better. It put a smile on Snow's face as she shook her head. Snow thought that it was good that Katie was not just moping around that even though she had lost love with Jake she was not going to just shut down.
Snow called out to them to get dressed and that they were going downstairs for breakfast. Hearing the squeals all Snow could do was smile and shake her head more. The three took a little time to figure out what they were going to wear today now that Katie wanted to dress like the others again. It didn't take all that long for them all to decide what they were going to wear since this was the day before the trial was going to start. Katie found that there was no reason to try and stand out today, but she did want to start dressing more like Snow now.
Gina was the first to be dressed and ready to go when she thought that she heard some knocking. At first, she just stood there listening and when she heard a louder knock she said, "Coming."
As the door closed the door to the presidential sweet opened and there stood the three girls talking Gina said, "I thought for sure that I heard a knocking."
Katie said, "I didn't hear anything and there is no one out here you must have just been hearing things."
Gina looked up and down the hall she was sure that she heard something but she guessed not since there was no one there.
Mia asked, "What's going on?"
As Gina pulled the door closed she said, "I thought I heard some knocking at the door."
Mia looked around like she was missing something. Katie said, "It must have been knocking at a different room."
Gina shrugged as she guessed that she must be right. The girls were all ready just waiting for Snow to finish getting ready. When Snow approached Katie dropped her head she saw that she had the leashes in her hand and that meant that she was going to be leashed once again. Katie saw the others get all excited and she just couldn't wrap her mind around the thought of getting all excited and being happy about being led around on a leash. She knew that she had to put up with it as long as she was there but that didn't mean that she had to be happy or excited about it happening to her.
Snow saw Katie's reaction to the sight of the leash and wished that she didn't have to put it on her knowing how it was making her feel, but she knew that it was the best way to keep them safe while they were out and about. It was just too dangerous for them to be loose here since she knew that there were people trying to get them. Even if when they came in they were not looking alike and she had tried altering their appearance she knew that they could still be spotted.
Snow looked at the three of them and they were dressed alike once again she was hoping that they would have waited for the trial to start to do that. Snow knew that they wanted to do that just to eat at Rodger but at this point, it was going to draw the attention of everyone. Snow was going to have them change but thought that it was not going to matter that much as long as they were leashed in a way that made them look more like slaves having them all look more or less the same. Especially since there were three of them and not just the two of them.
Snow clipped the leash on Gina first looking at her beaming smile looking up into her eyes Snow could see just how happy it made her. When she clipped the leash onto Mia she could see that she was happy that she was collared and leashed, but she didn't look her in the eyes showing her respect. Snow understood it was all the training that she had been through and all the beating that she had suffered through that taught her to keep her eyes down. Snow wondered how long it would take to get her past it if she would ever be able to get past it. Katie's head was down to the point that it was even harder to get to the collar. Snow ran her hand lovingly threw her hair and lifted her chin saying, "Don't worry the leash will be off before you know it. Just remember that this is all for your and the other girl's protection."
Katie looked up at her and nodded thinking that was why she was allowing it in the first place. Snow gave her a light little kiss on the cheek as she clipped the leash in place. Snow asked, "Are we all ready for breakfast?"
Seeing the smiles she knew that they were ready so they headed out the door. Snow thought that it was strange that as soon as they pushed the buttons the doors opened. Snow looked around to see if there was anyone around she didn't want to get caught off guard. She thought that there should be no reason that they know where they were already but you never know for sure.
Snow had to smile just watching the way that the girls acted together they were closer than if they had been real sisters.
When the elevator doors opened into the lobby the smells of the food hit them making them even more hungry. Gina could tell just by the smell that they had a good chef there but not as good as her instructor.
Every eye in the place turned to watch them enter the room and take seats. A waiter came over to Snow and said, "We have a table set up in the back for the slaves if you want."
Snow shot him a look like if she wanted something like that she would have asked for it. He quickly apologized for his assumption and asked, "What would you like?"
Snow made it simple and said, "Just bring us four servings of the best thing that you have."
He looked at her a little strangely and thought that it was not normal for someone to sit with their slaves to eat let alone buy them the best food that the place was serving. He quickly nodded and then went to the kitchen to place the order.
As Snow looked around the room the men could not take their eyes off her and the girls. It was not the look that she had been expecting. It was like the men were starving and they were juicy stakes just waiting to be devoured. She was expecting them to be looking at them with a look of greed or anger, not the sexual desire that she was seeing.
Snow was used to seeing that look in men's eyes when she was trying to make them want her but not from everyone in the place just from them sitting there. That is when Snow realized that there were no other women around at least from what she could see.
Snow thought about it and it made sense since it was a small island made to isolate the prisoners. She knew that there was a courtroom set up here and a prison but as she noticed on their way to the hotel there really was not that much of a town.
Snow noticed that Gina had been paying attention to every face that she saw she was trying to compare them to the faces that she saw at the dock as they left. She was not sure that she would ever find one but there was no way that she was going to let them hurt the others if she could help it.
Snow gave Gina a little nod and said, "Don't worry little one I won't let anything happen to you or your sisters."
Gina gave her a smile and she blushed a little she had not realized that she was doing it obvious enough to be caught doing it.
Snow smiled thinking that she was looking cute like that. Katie noticed the smile that Snow had and the fact that Gina was blushing again and knew that she had to have done something again. But knowing Gina it could be anything that was making her blush. Katie knew better than anyone that Gina was always the first to blush.
The waiter wondered what was going on with the one girl blushing but knew better than to ask about it than asked if they were ready for him to serve the food. Snow noticed the question on his mind and was glad that he kept it to himself.
Gina and Katie both examined the food, and each picked out several things that they would have done differently to make the meal better. It was funny because Mia and Snow but just sat there enjoying the food thinking it tasted good but they both agreed that Katie or Gina would have done a better job with it.
Snow noticed that there was at least one other woman around, as she had seen a fairly attractive woman that looked a little familiar. Although she could not place how, or where she knew her from. Snow was glad to see at least one other woman around.
As they ate Snow asked the girls if they wanted to look around the town knowing that they shouldn't even try going anywhere that even looked a little shady. Snow was not sure that they should explore too much but it was not like she wanted them feeling trapped in the hotel.
Katie knew that she would have to be walked on a leash, and she didn't want any more people seeing her that way than was already going to happen she said, "I would rather just stay here, and rest. If you don't mind?" Katie looked over at the others hoping that she was not disappointing them too much.
Both Gina and Mia shook their heads. Gina was still tired from not sleeping all that much and Mia had seen that the place was filled mostly with guys and wanted no part of it. Katie nodded and smiled seeing that they were not upset at all.
They finished eating and Mia was really glad by the end of it the guys were creeping her out. It was like they never stopped watching them the whole time that they were in there eating. It was making her so nervous that she was having a hard time eating. Snow kept an eye on everything and saw that Mia was struggling but as long as she was able to eat she was not going to change anything.
Snow started to wonder how well Mia was going to handle the courtroom. It was bound to be filled with men, and she wondered just how many of them would be the prisoners. It was not like she would be able to take her back out once they were in there, but she figured that if Gina was sitting on one side of her and Katie was on the other that she should be able to handle it okay. If not, then she could just stay in the room after the first day if it took more than one. Snow was thinking that the case was supposed to be a pretty much an open and closed case, but they were dealing with Stan and men with power didn't usually go down easy.
Snow knew that Stan was the real issue, not Rodger but what the girls needed was answers to what happened to Gina's parents and what was going to happen to Rodger.
Snow had sat down facing the window leading to the street so that she could keep an eye on everything. As they ate and as they were getting finished the woman that she had seen before walked by again. She looked so familiar to her that Snow was tempted to leave the girls there and go talk to her, but then she noticed that it looked like there were some guys following her. Based on the way that she was swinging her hips she was aware of them being there, and was more than happy that they were following her.
Snow couldn't get over the fact that it felt like she knew her but with the girls there she didn't want to try and drag them along and there was no way that was going to leave them alone with all these guys watching their every move.
Beth had left the tailors and started for the hotel and she noticed a couple of guys following her she was tempted to stop back at the butchers but she figured that if she was going to have to go out to get the dress or anything she would just do it later.
Beth couldn't believe how good the smell of the food that was coming from the expensive hotel was she had already eaten but couldn't help but feel a little hungry as she walked by. Beth looked in the window as she walked by but she knew that she couldn't stop or even take too long of a delay as she walked by she was carrying all the cash that Bill had given her and she knew that it would not be replaced if someone ripped her off.
As Beth walked by she looked in the window and saw the woman sitting at the table with the three girls. She heard that she was supposed to be beautiful but that was an understatement. Beth knew that there was no competition with her in the looks department but it was not like she would be making a deal with the butcher to replace her but that didn't mean that it wouldn't still ruin it for her. At least she didn't need to worry about that income since Stan was paying her.
The girls were sitting with their backs to the window Snow had positioned them that way so that anyone who would possibly look in would not see their faces. With the missing girl posters hanging over their heads, it was not like she wanted to advertise them.
Beth wondered where and how she could get a set of triplets that were so cute and just how much she must have paid to get them. Beth was not able to get a good look at them but she could tell that they were young and pretty and in a way they reminded her of Katie and Gina but there were three of them.
Beth noticed that the guys were starting to close in on her and she didn't want to take the chance that one was a guard or his friend so she started picking up the pace to get back to her kids. Seeing the girls made her really start missing Katie and wondering what ever happened to her. Beth was hoping that she was safe and happy even if she was with that neighbor bitch Gina.
A cold shiver ran down Gina's back as she was sitting there it was like a sudden cold chill hit her. Gina wondered what that was all about.
As soon as Mia had finished eating Snow was more than tired of the men steering at them and took them up to their room.
As they started to leave a man stopped them before they could leave the dining area reaching out and taking ahold of Snow's arm. Mia let out a scream that carried through the room not that they weren't already looking at them.
