Chapter 4 - The Unveiled Past

As Wu Yun continued his cultivation journey in the Yuan World, the desire to know his true identity and family grew stronger. He knew there was much to uncover about his past and origins, and this curiosity drove him to seek answers. One day, after an intense training session, he decided it was time to pursue the answers he longed for.

As the sun set on the horizon, painting the sky with shades of orange and red, Wu Yun found his grandfather in a serene garden within the Divine Sword Clan. His grandfather was in meditation, surrounded by a calm and powerful aura. Respectfully, Wu Yun knelt before him and spoke:

"Grandfather, forgive me for my curiosity, but there is something that has been bothering me. Who am I? And about my family, my origins... I would like to know more about my history."

Wu Yun's grandfather opened his eyes and looked at his grandson with a gentle gaze, acknowledging the sincerity in his words. He knew the time would come when Wu Yun would seek answers about his roots.

"Wu Yun, my dear grandson, I understand your quest for answers," began his grandfather. "Your origin is a well-guarded secret, but you have the right to know. Your family was a noble and powerful lineage of cultivators. Your father, Wu Tian, was a rare and esteemed talent. He had the potential to become one of the strongest cultivators in the Yuan World."

Wu Yun listened attentively, absorbing every word from his grandfather. His heart was filled with conflicting emotions upon discovering that his family was of noble lineage and his father was an extraordinary talent.

"Unfortunately, not everything is as it seems," continued his grandfather. "In a tragic incident many years ago, a great calamity befell our family. Powerful and ill-intentioned enemies, envious of your father's potential, conspired to destroy our lineage. Your father gave his life to protect our family, and thus, you were taken away to hide from those who sought your death."

Wu Yun was stunned by the revelation. The magnitude of his father's sacrifice and the betrayal his family faced were difficult to accept. But he knew he needed to know the truth, however painful it might be.

"Your grandfather and some loyal allies managed to protect you and raise you away from danger," said his grandfather, looking at Wu Yun with a tender expression. "We brought you to the Divine Sword Clan, where you were raised as one of our own. You were too young to remember the events of that dark day."

Wu Yun felt a mix of gratitude and sorrow. He was grateful for the love and protection he received from his grandfather and the Divine Sword Clan, but he also felt the sadness of losing his father and the family he never knew.

"I know it's a lot to take in, Wu Yun, but I hope you understand that our desire was to protect you," said his grandfather, placing his hand on Wu Yun's shoulder. "You are an extraordinary promise, and our lineage lives within you. Your strength and talent are unparalleled, and I believe you will honor your family's legacy."

Wu Yun looked into his grandfather's eyes, feeling a new determination rising in his heart. He knew that despite the adversities, he would move forward and become a powerful cultivator, honoring his father's memory and bringing glory to his family.

"Thank you, grandfather, for sharing this story with me," said Wu Yun sincerely. "I will strive to become stronger and protect those I love. I will honor my family's legacy and be worthy of my father's sacrifice."

His grandfather smiled, proud of Wu Yun's commitment. "I am certain you will achieve great things, my dear grandson. Your journey is just beginning, and I am here to support you every step of the way."

Thus, Wu Yun found answers about his identity and family, and this newfound understanding drove him to pursue even deeper cultivation. With a determined heart, he continued his journey in the Yuan World, ready to face the challenges and discoveries that awaited him.
