In the main hall of the main building of the twilight academy, Tim was being rushed to the head chambers.
His body was bare as his inner clothes had been removed and all that was left on his body were trousers and robes which was left open that one could see his bare chest.
On his chest, a large network of purple lines was illuminated.
His entire body emitted a strong aura to the extent that the head mages in the chamber were intimidated by it.
"Such power!".
A mage said.
"How can this be". Another asked.
"I don't think his body is ideal for containing such power"
"So what do you suggest?"
"I suggest we absorb his magic essence."
"I already tried that, it doesn't seem to be the best option." The mage who picked Tim said.
"I think I might have a solution". One of the mages who had been maintaining total silence since the beginning of the conversation said.
"Why don't we seal this magic".
"Oh Luke, I fear that such power cannot be easily sealed completely but I think we might be able to work something"
"Are you talking about partial sealing?"
"Yes, his power is partially sealed and a fraction of the seal will be broken as he progresses in his mage tier"
"I think that sounds reasonable"
As the mages concluded their discussion, Tim's body began to vibrate on the raised platform that he was placed.
The purple network that lined his body began to radiate a bright glow and his aura grew.
"We have to cast the sealing spell now!"
The mages immediately got to action as they surrounded Tim and each began to draw a golden magic array of concentric circles.
Each spaces between these were filled with lines of spells.
As the mages finished drawing the magic arrays, they began to move to the center of the room where Tim was placed as they converged to form a single array.
"SEAL!"
They all chanted collectively as the magic array revolving on top of Tim suddenly descended to align with his body.
His vibration became even more vigorous as his eyes and his body began to reveal a purple glow.
After some time, the glowing died down and a mark formed on the side of his neck.
His body stopped vibrating and the line network on his body disappeared.
After the whole thing, the mages headed back to their respective seats.
The mages wore a stressed expression as each mage had been forced to sacrifice a fraction of their magic essence to seal the magic within Tim.
"What beast did he kill to grow such power"
"I don't think it's a beast"
"Why "
"He's just an apprentice. Moreover, I don't think any amount of killing can possibly amount to that degree of power."
"Well not unless he kills a demon ranked beast"
"That's impossible"
"Yeah, from what I know, only two demon ranked beasts have been said to have been sighted for over two centuries."
"Exactly, and by looking at him, I don't think he looks like someone that can kill a mammith not to talk of a demon ranked beast"
"You keep on forgetting that it is not necessary to kill a beast to bond with a beast soul"
"Even so, I don't think there were any nearby demon ranked beasts. If so, we would have been informed by now."
The High mage who seemed to be the head of this group remained silent. He too couldn't belief what he had just witnessed.
In all his years of being a mage, he had never heard of a demon ranked beast soul bonding with an apprentice mage.
Beast souls usually bonded with mages that were strong enough to kill it.
Even he had yet to gain a high ranked beast soul not to talk of a demon ranked beast soul.
He stood up from his seat and as he did, the entire room fell silent.
It was clear that these mages had respect for the man.
"Indeed we have never seen such a thing which is why I suggest close supervision of the boy."
"Mike!"
The mage who brought back Tim then stood up.
"You will be assigned to this boy to take him as an apprentice. You are expected to report every week to the mage council on what you've discovered."
"Yes high mage"
The meeting was adjourned as each mage departed from the chamber.
Tim was carried back to his dorm by Mike, the mage assigned to be his new master.
