It was clearly evident that it hadn't adapted to walking on soil since the inside of the coop was flat, it managed and tried taking a few little steps here and there taking the scent of everything around her.
" I think she's studying the environment " Heimdall said
" Yeah they're recorded to be very intelligent and aware creatures " Bragi added
He was feeling proud, he kept asking himself " This must be what it feels like when parents see their child walk for the first time "
" Did his feel like this " he silently thought to himself "
" You both seem to be having a nice time " That ever so familiar irritating voice spoke again and he of course knew who it was speaking and it was his brother Kare
" You should go learn how to announce yourself better, you imbecile " Bragi yelled at himi
" Why should I? I'll do with myself what it is I want " he stated
" I knew you would chose today to properly interact with your little scaly friend here, I finished early so why I not indulge in the entertainment of you and Heimdall training a dragon "
It was a known fact that Heimdall and Kare didn't like each other very much, Heimdall regarded him as a total "deadbeat of a guy" while Kare saw him as an insecure piece of trash who thinks only of himself . Kare's reason was oddly specific and he never changed it unlike Heimdall who would just hurl insults at Kare, But Bragi's brother was never that personal he always just told the objective truth the way it presented it's self to him. Everyone usually waived off what Kare had to say about people because they concluded him a sadist or cynic.
" Man can you just get out of here? " Heimdall said with what seemed like murderous intent
" No, you're at my house. you don't like me you should be the one to leave " Kare replied as pale faced as ever
" Will you two goofballs stop going at it and let's figure how to interact with Gemir " Bragi yelled throwing little stones at them
" Who the hell is Gemir? " Kare asked
" Yeah man, who's that? " Heimdall seconded
" That's the name I've chosen to give her " Bragi enthusiastically replied to them
" wait why does that sound so familiar? " Kare raised
" Oh yeah it's because of their ancestry, the first one to be recorded was known as Jemarr " he continued
" And that's precisely why I chose to name her Gemir, sounds cool right? " said Bragi with all the charisma he had in him.
" That is an amazing choice my friend " Heimdall commented as he was wrapping his arms around Bragi's shoulder
" You both are idiots, I see why you two get along really well "
" Whatever man, you're just dead on the inside and it's no one's problem "Heimdall said basically waiving Kare off
Kare sat down on the backyard doorstep which usually means he'll be quiet and just let the world be the world. Bragi who hadn't taken his eyes off Gemir the entire time was starting to notice something, she usually had her hands tucked but she was trying to stretch the out right now it revealed her wings , The word " Majestic " couldn't accurately describe what he had just witnessed.
She seemed to just be getting aware that her wings were of use for something, a few clumsy flaps which barely lifted her off the floor was all the confirmation they all needed to find out she wasn't mature enough to fly yet.
" I don't think the size of the coop is the only reason we'll have to keep it out anymore, it seems it learns more about it's self and it's surroundings the more time it spends in the outside world " Bragi said
" way to figure it out genius, a baby would have known that since the first day the egg hatched " Kare said from his observation spot
" You know you should be kicking his ass right? " Heimdall said out loud. Reason being that's what he would do but he was no match to Kare 10 inches shorter and almost the same mass but for Kare it was pure muscle
" He's suppose to be sixteen bloody Hell " He would often think to himself
" Man just ignore him, his words don't mean anything " Bragi said nonchalantly.
" But say Kare you know an awful lit about dragons these days, I wonder where the knowledge came from " Heimdall pointed out
" That is true baby brother , you've been digging it up at the shelves haven't you?" Bragi added.
Kare briefly cleared his throat stood up
" Let me break somethings down to you pea brained lads so you have at least an idea of the possible mess you could find yourselves in. I actually knew when this genius here brought the egg into the house , it was evident it was a bit heavy but I just ignored him "
" wait you knew right from the start? " Bragi abruptly interrupted
" Shut up brother let me finish!! " Kare barked at him
" Then a few nights after , his room was glowing a mysterious green I could see from the reflection through the passage. I went into his room to investigate, I saw the light emitting from an object on his table it seemed to be wrapped in something and I took it off. it was an egg it vaguely fitted a description I knew for sure I heard in mystical class I took it upon myself to do more research and what we have here might be if not the most dangerous species of dragons to ever walk this earth "
A brief scream from Gemir functioned as the much needed interlude.
He continued.
" There is no way in the world I'll trust you lot to be able to handle something of that magnitude, this threatens us and everyone we know and it's just playtime for you boys. I won't live with something I do not understand. I'm not an idiot like you guys "
There was a brief pause...
* Clears throat * Heimdall said " That was a long monologue my good man " In a mocking tone, He and Bragi immediately burst into Laughter
" That was one hell of a way to say (Yes) baby brother " He said almost tearing up.
Kare closed his eyes and silently whispered to themselves
" They're idiots, Oh dear me "
