Chapter 17 - 17

The sunlight shone down from above him, casting a flattering light on his perfect figure, making him as dazzling as a prince from Greek mythology.

"Mr. Reed! What a coincidence." Joy waved at Dean with a smile, what a wonderful fate this was.

Dean frowned slightly, remembering the message on WhatsApp just now, "When the sunlight shines on the sea, I'm thinking of you." So it was true?

A handsome man next to him asked, "Mr. Reed, do you know her?"

The woman who had just refused her snorted, "How could Mr. Reed know her? If he did, he would have come out already. This woman has thick skin, she doesn't even look in the mirror. She still wants to get close to us?"

Joy giggled, "What's wrong with me wanting to get close to him? Don't you want to?"

"I'm not shameless like you..."

"That's good, then there's one less person bothering him. Hi, my yacht ran out of fuel, can you take me back?" Joy looked straight at Dean.

With Dean there, the yacht was his to command.

"Didn't I tell you that Mr. Reed doesn't like strange women? How can you still be so shameless?" The woman looked at Joy with disgust.

There were enough women who could recognize Mr. Reed to circle the earth, but there were very few who could gain his attention. This stupid woman was daydreaming.

Dean didn't say anything, Roy Finch, the star of today's party, nudged his arm, "Dean, do you know her or not? If you don't, let's set sail."

Dean thought back to the message on WhatsApp. He didn't expect that this woman was really at sea.

Joy waited for Dean to speak with a charming smile. Although she appeared calm on the surface, she was a bit panicked inside, afraid that Dean was still angry about last night and would ignore her and leave.

Losing face didn't matter, what she was worried about was that Dean, the best marriage candidate, would no longer give her any chances.

"I know her, let her come up," Dean spoke lightly.

Joy breathed a sigh of relief. She had a hunch that Dean was a bit different towards her, a woman he had slept with. Otherwise, given his dislike of women, how could he possibly let her on board?

Once Dean spoke, no one dared to disobey. They lowered a ladder, their yacht was a large luxury yacht, at least twice as high as Joy's.

This kind of rope ladder is not easy to climb, Joy came out today wearing high heels and a long dress. She simply took off her shoes and held them in her hand, holding up half of her skirt. But climbing like this was not only hard but also very unladylike.

She didn't care about being ladylike. As long as she could be with Dean, she would climb anything, even a mountain of knives. This was a rare opportunity that came from misfortune.

Joy struggled to climb up. When she stepped onto their deck, she looked up at Dean and gave a bright smile. Joy was naturally beautiful, and her smile was fresh and natural, as sweet as mountain spring water.

The group of young talents on the deck were charmed by her smile, and a gentleman had already reached out to help her. Joy, who had climbed up with one hand holding her shoes and the other holding the edge of her dress, couldn't possibly use the hand holding her shoes to let someone help her. She had to let go of the edge of her dress and extend her hand to accept the help.

She managed to get up quite smoothly. Joy wanted to thank the man who helped her, but before she could say anything, she stepped on the edge of her dress that she had let go of, and the whole person stumbled and fell straight onto the man who had helped her.

Oh no, what kind of fall-into-his-arms scene was this?

Would Dean misunderstand?

Before Joy had time to think, she fell into a sturdy embrace. She smelt a faint scent of cold plum, the chest against her face was a bit warm, but Joy inexplicably felt a bit cold.

Cold as it was, this body was really good, all muscles, firm yet elastic. The smell of cold plum was from his shirt, fresh and pleasant.

Joy's nose was bumped by his firm chest muscles, and her pretty snow-white nose turned a bit pink.

She paused for a few seconds and was about to apologize, when a deep and pleasant but somewhat cold voice came from above, "How long are you planning on hugging?"

Joy looked up in surprise, seeing Dean's chiseled features, cool lips, high nose, and perfect jawline. This man was really good-looking.

"If I can, I hope it's for a lifetime," Joy replied in a voice that only the two of them could hear. She mustn't stop flattering him, and seize every opportunity to do so.

Dean's eyes darkened slightly.

A female voice hissed sarcastically from the side, "She knows how to fall, even from such a distance she can fall on him. Such scheming."

Joy also felt that her fall was quite miraculous. Dean was two people away from her, yet she managed to fall onto him.

Joy said shyly, "I only know him in here, maybe fate also thinks that it's most appropriate for me to fall on him."

You say I'm scheming, well then I'm scheming, what about it? I did intend to fall on Dean, what about it? If you have the guts, stop criticizing me, you fall on him too.

She never hid her scheming side in front of Dean.

She straightened up, and as soon as she moved her foot, she cried out in pain and fell back into Dean's arms again. She held onto his waist tightly and looked at Dean pitifully, "I twisted my ankle."

This exaggerated acting left the men dumbfounded, and several women rolled their eyes.

"This stupid woman thinks that she can win Dean's sympathy just because she's a bit pretty. She doesn't even know what kind of person he is. The last woman who acted like this is still lying in the hospital."

Joy was still a bit nervous inside. After all, Dean did have a serious case of misogyny.

What if he got upset and threw her into the sea? She couldn't swim.

The more nervous she was, the harder her hands clung to Dean's waist. She had to make it impossible for Dean to shake her off, or she'd be in danger!

Dean naturally felt the strength on his waist. The woman clinging to his chest was breathing a bit heavier, and her warm breath spread on him, causing Dean's gaze to darken.

Looking down, Dean saw the top of Joy's shiny black hair, faintly exuding a light fragrance, with a hint of milky scent, reminding him of the taste of Joy when she was passionate last night.

Dean's handsome face was cold, and everyone on the boat dared not make a sound. The only sound on the yacht was the sound of the sea wind, and some people even held their breath.

They had seen Reed get angry. Just not long ago, a woman was thrown more than ten meters by his bodyguard, breaking several bones.

Nobody dared to continue the wild party at Mr. McCord's birthday banquet.

Someone on the side gave a signal to a waiter. Just as the waiter was about to go up and pull away this suicidal woman, they heard Dean's cold voice, "What shampoo do you use?"

Everyone: "???"
