Chereads / I Grabbed The Tyrant's Heart / Chapter 9 - Chapter 8

Chapter 9 - Chapter 8

But Euseniel's arm, or body, did not move. That's right, Euseniel is half-elf, so she's strong. She broke a spoon a few days ago too.

God, will Euseniel get mad and break my arm? Would it hurt? But won't Euseniel come to visit if I'm hurt?

I thought it would be a good idea to put my arm in Euseniel's hand, but Euseniel started talking as she pushed my back.

"Yes, so you better go inside and get some treatment."

"I'm hurt, Euseniel."

"So, treatment-"

"I, it hurts. I'm hurt...."

My plan to get together if Euseniel broke my arm failed, and Euseniel still doesn't seem interested in me.

I like Euseniel....

I shouldn't cry, but tears came to my eyes. Euseniel didn't like me crying, so I wiped it off. Still, it kept coming out and I covered my eyes with my fist.

"When are you coming in?"

The voice of Duchess Hardland was heard. Euseniel then replied.

"I will accompany His Highness, so could you go inside with Ethyl first?"

As I pulled my hand away, the Duchess nodded her head, and Sir Guard held the ugly guy in his arms. As the three of them move away, Euseniel sees me. Then she grabbed my hand and pulled me.

"Let's go."

"I'm hurt too, Euseniel."

"Then why did you do that?"

"I'm hurt, so blow it for me."

"Let's go inside and get treatment."

I said quietly because Euseniel was going to drag me like this instead of breaking my arm.

"Then let him go."

"Ethyl? Why? He's a good kid. Tess, it'll be convenient later if you know-"

"-I don't need it."

"Umm, Tess."

Soon, Euseniel's words to persuade me will come out. I don't like other people, but I particularly don't want to get to know him.

"You're going to be emperor later. It would be good to get to know several people from now on."

"I don't need him. So tell him to go."

"Tess."

"No, no, no! I hate him!"

In the end, I rolled my feet and shouted, and the knights of the Duke's family in the distance looked over here. Euseniel must have noticed this too, and took a deep breath, but she must have been very angry.

"Tessvalun."

"Huh, huhuuh. I'll stop crying, huhuu."

Ever since I asked her to call me by my nickname, Euseniel never called me 'Tessvalun'. Calling me like this is proof that she was very angry.

But my mouth moved unknowingly.

"I really hate him, Euseniel. Huhu. Tell him to go."

"Why do you hate him?"

"Because I don't like you. Tell him not to come here. When I see him, I get annoyed."

"Do your eyes hurt?"

"It's not that it hurts, it's that I don't want to see him either. So please don't let him come. Huh? Euseniel."

"If your eyes hurt, don't come, Tess. Rest well in the Imperial Palace."

As if it was an opportunity, Euseniel told me not to come. Then what about that guy?

"What about him? He wouldn't be coming either?"

"If Ethyl doesn't come, you won't come too?"

"No. I will come."

As expected, Euseniel's eyebrows, which had risen upward, drooped.

"Then tell him not to come. I hate seeing him staring at Euseniel. He...."

I mean, he likes you.

"What does he do with me?"

"Anyway, tell him not to come because I don't like him."

"No. This is Hardland, and I like Ethyl, so I will keep telling him to come."

"Why? Why do you like him? Why? Why do you like him? Was he good at swordsmanship? Was he smarter than Euseniel?"

My heart is pounding again.

"His swordsmanship skills are better than mine. But in other respects, I am smarter."

"But why do you like him? He has double eyelids just like me. Or does he have a pretty smile?"

"… I don't think so. Ethyl smiles openly."

"But why do you like him ….?"

Anyway, if you don't like him, you can just like me.

"Is he taller than Euseniel? So that's why you like him? And what about dark hair? My hair is gold. Sniff. I will grow. But my eyes aren't black. …."

Euseniel bit her mouth shut. I tried to stop the tears because I didn't want to deal with that look of hers, but it came pouring out at will.

"Your Highness, Sir Guard is here. Come on in-"

"-no. I don't want it, Euseniel. Don't play with him. I don't want him to be with you. He doesn't have to be with you."

That guy 'can't see anything' and doesn't know anything. So you can live comfortably.

"But I couldn't be without you...."

Eventually, the people who entered the mansion came out again, and I stared at the ugly guy.

"Never come to Hardland again. Ethyl Bonart."

"I am very sorry, Your Highness, I cannot obey your orders."

"You dare break my orders? Don't come here!"

"Your Highness, there is no reason to obey all orders of the master just because I was a servant. Especially if it is difficult to understand."

That's right. What's even more upsetting is that he didn't look down on me and he was speaking with that kind of heart.

I looked at my savior, because there was nothing more to insist on.

"Euseniel...."

Please don't leave me please. If you leave me, I have no reason to live.

Dark green eyes glistening with gold stared at me quietly. I was choked for fear that she would reject me.

"Let's go."

When a hand slightly larger than mine grabbed me, I was finally able to gasp and breathe.

"Euseniel?"

"I'm sorry, Ethyl. It will be difficult to train together today. I'll call you later."

"… Okay. You should contact me within this week. Understand?"

"Okay."

I wanted to say something, but no voice came out.

"Then I will see Young Master Ethyl off."

Duchess Hardland took the ugly guy with her, and Euseniel took my hand.

"Let's go."

It's warm.

"You may have had a bruise on your shoulder. You need treatment."

I felt like crying.

You are the only one who doesn't like me and doesn't try to take advantage of me because I am the Crown Prince, and you are the only one who treats me without any intention. Sometimes, to the extent that I think it would be good if you were greedy for power.

"Euseniel is kind. So kind. The best."

"Because if you get hurt, I get scolded."

A blunt answer came back, but as expected, Euseniel is the best.

"And Tess."

"Yes?"

"Just because I'm friendly with Ethyl doesn't mean I won't meet you."

Euseniel's cheeks were a little red.

"You will always be my friend."

"I like you, Euseniel."

I felt better when she said that she would not abandon me, so I shouted happily, and Euseniel laughed.

"Miss, aren't you worried about the Crown Prince? How many days has the Crown Prince not come?"

"The Crown Prince calls it growing pains. I don't have to worry."

It's a bit strange to say that six years old has growing pains.

"Nevertheless. First of all, he's sick."

May, a dedicated maid, must have thought I was too much. The drooping corners of her eyebrows must have felt sorry for Tess as I glanced at her.

"May, go to the kitchen and tell them to make some macarons."

"Yes."

"It's not that I'm not worried either...."

When May returned, I handed her a note, which I had written down, in an envelope.

"May, I wrote a letter saying I am going to see the Crown Prince, so you should send it to the Imperial Palace."

No matter how I thought about it, I was too weak for Tess who was sick. Even though I have a small body, I don't feel good when I see a kid who is smaller than me whine.

"As expected, my Miss! Even if you said it coldly, you were worried about the Crown Prince!"

"If you keep making noise, get out."

"I'll send an errand boy for you!"

May, who was always bright, did not give in to my rebuke, and walked out of the room with a smile.

I waited for an answer. A reply that usually comes the same day, didn't come for more than two days and I later got an answer through my father.

"Euel, it is said that the Crown Prince is very ill and cannot receive visitors."

"Is it that serious?"

Surprisingly, the first thought that came to mind was not 'it's annoying, but I'm glad he's fine', but rather a worry about the child's condition.

Every time Tess gets sick, I realize. The existence of that child was much bigger to me than I expected, and the fact that I like the child a lot.
