As the door closed behind Yevan and Barrett, Jacob turned to his daughter with a thoughtful expression. Maria, who had been sitting quietly, contemplating the events of the evening, met her father's gaze.
Jacob's voice was gentle but filled with curiosity. "So, Maria, what are your thoughts on Yevan?"
Maria took a moment to gather her impressions. She had been caught off guard by Yevan's unexpected interest in her, and the evening had been a whirlwind of surprises. She leaned back in her chair, a hint of a smile playing on her lips.
"Dad, I think Yevan seems to be honest and interesting to say the least…," she began. "He's achieved so much with his company, and his dedication to his work is evident.
