...

....

I was sitting on my throne watching as the lights were exterminated rather quickly, and half my traps didn't go off.

"Mmmm, that was very fast."

"I should avoid summoning too many wolves at the start. Maybe one group of normal wolves in that room. Then switch to Hellfire wolves in the pool room..."

"Don't you agree, miss dark elf, with the large breasts and firm rump?"

I could sense a presence standing just outside the boss's room. Her golden eyes were locked onto me while I watched the others dying.

Silence...

The woman ignored me.

Since she wanted to be quiet, it didn't affect me. I returned to calculating my profits and browsed the list of things to buy and upgrade.

"I wonder what kind of damage acid traps would do... Melt the flesh, or would it be more powerful... Interesting."

Under my robes, I had cast six fully completed runes floating around my body, constantly swirling and ready to cast any of my fire spells except hellfire which needed to use two or more to cast.

If I tried to make seven or more, my total mana and mana regeneration would start dwindling.

However, with only six... I still recovered mana over time, which didn't hinder my other actions.

I wanted her to attack a stealth-type fighter versus a mage. Isn't this the perfect chance to hone my martial skills on the brink of death?

She seemed wary as my eyes narrowed at the last of her party being devoured by wolves.

My destroyed wolves were instantly respawned and placed in the dungeon.

Swiping my finger, I moved them further into the tunnel and replaced the second section with normal wolves to avoid early deaths.

I needed people to gain something from the Nightmare Mode, after all.

Killing Silas was to avoid bad rumours. The Cuckold team managed to reach Muru, but her attack almost instantly killed them.

[Appraisal]

[Level 1: 200DP]

[Level 2: 800DP]

I spent 1000 DP on Level Two Appraisal.

Oh?

A strange feeling entered my mind at first.

My eyes burned with a tingle of electricity zapping my face.

It was like getting a static shock from other people as my eyes closed tightly from the pain with all sorts of numbers and information flooding my mind without using the dungeon master's system or the Holograph.

"Ugh... damn it."

When I opened my eyes slowly, the light from the torches burned so badly that I needed to close them again rapidly, it felt close to someone poking them with sharp cocktail sticks, or at least the pain I imagined it would cause.

I checked to see if there was anything wrong with touching my cheeks.

There was a thick slimy ooze, a mixture of my blood and black tar, seeming to have been something related to my old eyes, maybe?

There was no mirror!

"Haa..."

Tilting my head, I looked at the dark elves figure and felt stunned. Not only did it show me her current position it also showed me a ghostly image of her current self.

The upgrade was a minor counter to those who use stealth!

This was the limit of my current Appraisal, but it gave me a good idea that this woman stood zero chance against me as a mage.

However, I wanted to fight her as a Battle Mage or Martial Mage.

Since I couldn't use weapons, no matter how exotic or useless, my only form of combat would be martial arts like a monk or martial artist.

There was also the brawler class, but I didn't know if that was where I wished to go.

Because we had a great haul today, I instantly bought the max level before feeling that strange sensation again.

The hurtful feeling of someone drilling into my head and pouring the information about Dark Elves and their history, feuds, languages and many unwanted things for no reason until my nose began to bleed profusely...

I could understand everything now...

She had hidden the pattern of the tattoos under her armour, the face painting she wore and the piercings in her ears.

Eluvia Uldroth was an assassin who served the Goddess of spiders and blissful death, Venebra and her goal today was to kill me.

Or she would fail in her divine rites to become an assassin of the black fang.

"Amusing..."

"Eluvia Uldroth, why does your mistress seek my death?" (Dark elven tongue)

The instant I spoke her mother tongue, she vanished like the wind, her body dancing over the Hellfire Mines as they exploded a fierce heat far beyond what she should be able to withstand before a black webbing wrapped around her body, protecting her.

Three of the mines exploded before she rolled along the floor, no longer the glorious Dark Elf assassin but now a mangy dog with the armour she wore melted and dripping from her body.

She was half naked as the hellfire burned the webbing.

"!!!"

"P'alvizr!" She shouted without shame or modesty, grabbing two sharp curved daggers from her crotch.

Well, the ring-shaped storage space pierced into her crotch as a disguise.

I felt pleased as this would be my first real battle with another enemy with melee proficiency.

Despite the six floating circles dancing along my body, there was no plan to use them unless she nearly killed me.

Removing my robe, I lunged forward, sending a right fist towards Eluvia's face.

Her agility allowed her to see the move and react just before my attack; however, her naked skin and dripping armour were no obstacles for me.

With a series of punches aimed at Eluvia's body and head, my enemy felt the power contained within the strength of my attacks before rolling away, her body creating a huge splash in a puddle as she recovered quickly and seemed to step on the shadows vanishing behind me like magic.

"Tsk!"

She realised my strength was average, 'I'm relying too much on my magical prowess,' but that thought did not mean I would lower my defence.

The sudden attack struck my face without notice, leaving a small cut across my cheek with blood dripping down, causing my heart to race.

This feeling was not caused by Eluvia Uldroth's action to harm me or poison in her dagger; it was just the first time I had faced mortal danger where an attack was trying to take my life.

What caused my heart to race so fiercely was realising how small and powerless I was to death.

My body did not stop as blood dripped along Eluvia Uldroths sharp knife. My fingers grabbed Eluvia Uldrots lanky neck before a fierce wrestling fight occurred.

Eluvia wanted to cut my throat with her dagger, and I didn't care if her long dagger slid down my hard chest, leaving small blood trails. As she gasped for air, I smashed the dagger from her hand. It flew into the distance with a clang.

She growled at me, so I threw Eluvia over my shoulder with a slam from my old world because right now, with barehanded combat, this was my advantage due to practising wrestling since I was a kid.

My techniques were quite lethal to an assassin who relied on speed and magic to win.

However, before Eluvia slammed against the ground, I suddenly felt her off-hand dagger pierce my thigh, causing great damage as the shooting pain made my leg throb painfully.

It was so painful that I barely even felt her foot smash into my face like a powerful whip and crack my nose until I released Eluvia so I wouldn't roll along the floor.

At this moment, I finally wished I bought some gauntlets if I knew the things I did now.

"Haa...ha...."

"Nn.....haa...!"

We both seemed slightly out of breath; her health was low, with less than half remaining, and mine only lost a third.

I watched as she moved back slowly, trying to adjust herself to take control of this fight...

Her low health left little room to escape.

She also looked worried about the dagger stuck in my leg as the blood drained profusely; her divine mission from Venebra to assassinate me, Eluvia, couldn't return until I died and needed to kill me with these daggers.

I wanted to live.

Right now, in the wilderness of this dangerous dungeon world, I felt satisfied at facing mortal danger again...

Eluvia vanished.

Appearing behind me was her obvious move.

Sorry... I want to win.

⟪Wall of Fire⟫

A sudden huge pillar of flames emerged from my side, the heat causing the ground to burn before it reached the dungeon roof and billowed violently.

Her body rushed into that blazing wall of flames, and she suddenly dropped her health to almost zero as she rolled around desperately before I mounted her, gripping her throat tightly, watching her eyes that stared at me in shock.

My nails pierced her beautiful dark elf skin until blood started pooling beneath her, leaving Eluvia's eyes as she struggled to breathe, realising she had lost...

"Sophia, come to the main boss room. I need your help, have Muru take a well-deserved rest."

This loss left her powerless as I made sure she lost consciousness before calling Sophia to lock her up with nothing, no clothes, no armour; I cut her hair to her neck, and just before she left, I checked for secret weapons hidden in her anus and vagina with my fingers...

A shame there was nothing except a pill to commit suicide.

All she needed to do was tightly squeeze her insides, which would have killed her with a potent poison.

I didn't want her to die because the person who requested the assassination was not the Goddess but a living person.

Who was it?
