As dawn broke, a crow flew through the morning mist, over forests and fields, finally arriving at a seemingly spacious wooden house. It perched on the window of the house, cawing loudly.
A silver-haired woman of exquisite beauty heard the call, rose, and approached the window. Sunlight bathed her as she gently cradled the crow in her hands, closed the window, and retreated into the house.
The interior of the house was pitch black, devoid of any sunlight. The only other occupant was a man of similar age to her. She handed the crow to him, and he held it in his hands.
"So it is..." the man murmured. His face was marred, his eyes blind, and his hair long. He was the lord of the Demon Slayer Corps, Kagaya Ubuyashiki.
His body appeared frail, and if not for the burn-like scars on his face, one could tell he was once a strikingly handsome man.
"It wasn't a Demon Slayer who killed the demon, but someone else, and the demon was one of the Twelve Demon Moons! Croak!" The lord gently stroked the crow in his hands, then whispered, "That was supposed to be Mitsuri's mission, but that person distracted her with some strange method, then personally killed the Lower Demon Four in the village."
The woman sitting next to him, his wife, Amane Ubuyashiki, asked softly, "Should we send someone to bring him to our side?"
"But it seems that person doesn't want to negotiate with us." The lord replied calmly, "From his conversation with Mitsuri, he pretended to be a new recruit of the Demon Slayer Corps in front of her, and he didn't expose himself. This shows that he not only knows about us but also understands us very well. But even so, he distracted Mitsuri and went to kill the demon alone, which shows that he doesn't want us to intervene!"
The lord sighed softly, then continued, "As for this person, let's leave it to fate. We can confirm that this person is not our enemy. If he wants to negotiate with us, I think he will contact us on his own."

Tokyo, Asakusa Prefecture.
Night had fallen. Since the demons in this world only appear at night, it was pointless for Jon to hunt during the day. Therefore, he adjusted his schedule, resting in his magic suitcase during the day and working at night.
The reason he came to Hachijo in Tokyo was that he found information about Muzan from Mugako's memory. From those memories, Jon determined that Muzan might be lurking here.
"Such a big place, where to find Muzan?" Jon looked at the bustling street, unsure where to start.
Mugako was just a Lower Moon, and although they were both part of the Twelve Demon Moons, the difference in strength between the Lower and Upper Moons was vast. A Pillar could easily kill a Lower Moon, but couldn't compete with an Upper Moon.
Moreover, Muzan's attention to the Upper and Lower Moons was vastly different. Therefore, as a Lower Moon, Mugako could only know where Muzan generally lurked, but couldn't pinpoint his exact location.
"Forget it, let's eat first~" Jon didn't think much and headed straight for a snack stall.
Sitting at the stall, Jon bought several skewers of meatballs and started eating heartily.
After a while, Jon had finished his skewers, but he still felt hungry. Just as he was about to order more, he suddenly froze.
He felt as if a current was passing through his body. He then turned his head and stared intently in one direction.
That was one of his abilities as the Ghost Rider, the sense of sin.
Now, Jon could not only smell the scent of sin on others, but if there were any criminal acts nearby, he could sense them immediately.
"Got some action!" Jon thought, then he paid the stall owner and ran off without looking back.
Soon, Jon arrived at a mansion. The mansion's door had been opened, and the lock was broken, obviously damaged by someone. It looked like a break-in.
Jon pushed open the door, and a strong smell of blood hit his nose. What came into view was a pool of blood and several bodies.
A woman in a kimono lay on the ground, holding a child in her arms, and a male corpse lay next to them, all covered in blood.
Clearly, this family had been slaughtered.
"Am I too late?" Jon frowned slightly, crouched down, and looked at the three bodies in front of him, "Was it Muzan, or another demon?"
Jon turned to look outside the door, a strong sense of sin emanating in that direction.
That sense of sin was hundreds of times stronger than what Mugako had, so even if it wasn't Muzan, it must be an Upper Moon!
"No, not everyone was killed." Jon paused, suddenly realizing something.
He had just sensed that there seemed to be signs of life here.
Just then, a heavy panting sound came from behind him. The panting was so intense that it even carried a hint of greed, like a beast eyeing its prey.
Jon turned around and saw a blood-stained girl, about fifteen or sixteen years old. She should be the daughter of this family. She was now baring her teeth, staring at him fiercely.
Clearly, she had turned into a demon.
"Well, now I can confirm that it must be Muzan himself!" Jon shrugged.
Only Muzan had the ability to turn people into demons.
Suddenly, the girl pushed off the ground with her legs, like an arrow leaving a bow, and pounced at Jon.
Jon immediately pulled out his chain, and the girl's sharp teeth bit onto the chain.
"This is a bit annoying." Jon used the chain to hold back the girl.
Although the girl had turned into a demon, she hadn't eaten a human yet, meaning she didn't meet the criteria of being deeply sinful.
As the Ghost Rider, he could only kill sinners. If he killed an innocent person, he might be retaliated against by the Spirit of Vengeance. But if he let this demon go, and she ate a person before he killed her, wouldn't he become a sinner?
In this case, he was worried that the Spirit of Vengeance would leave his body, especially since he remembered that the Spirit of Vengeance, Zarathos, could choose its host, and had even broken free from Mephisto's control.
"Maybe I should just tie her up and leave her to her fate." Jon thought.
Just then, a strange fragrance suddenly wafted over, followed by a flurry of bizarre patterns floating in the air. The colorful patterns enveloped Jon and the girl.
Then, the girl, who had been ferocious, suddenly stopped and fell unconscious to the ground.
"Facing a girl who just turned into a demon, you didn't kill her. Is it because she hasn't eaten a human yet?" A cold voice suddenly appeared, "In that case, let me lend you a hand!"
