"Cool."
A light and brief response, meaningless enough to scare the last bit of composure out of him. Alaric's fingers moved to clench the hems of his coat, eyes still fixated on the bluehead's back.
"You aren't taking me seriously."
Death can never be a topic to joke about, nor something to take lightly. Yet there stood the bluehead, shrugging and chuckling at the mention of those words.
Maybe a punch could give him a taste of reality...
"No, I do, in fact." The smirk was still present on his face, "Probably for the first time since we've met."
A sudden, serious topic was brought up, so how could he be ignorant? Especially when the topic was his favorite one. Death.
"So what now? Am I supposed to be surprised? Scared? Oh, wow, I'll die!"
"IAN!"
His name was yelled at him; an unexpected retort from his young master. Taken aback by Alaric's burst of anger, Ian rushed to add, "A price must be paid for everything."
