After an invigorating training session, I decide to explore the sprawling library within the House. The shelves are lined with ancient tomes and scrolls, each containing the accumulated knowledge of generations. With a sense of curiosity, I pick a dusty volume titled "Legends of Draconia."
As I immerse myself in the tales of heroic knights and their powerful bond with Draconians, a realization strikes me. The bond between these beings grants them incredible power – a power I have no idea of, Pretty sure I need a dragon if I want to unlock the full potential of the system since most of the system are either locked or grayed out. With newfound determination, I make a mental note to seek out a Draconian partner. But I don't think its going to be easy though.
But hold up, what's that sound? Footsteps. I glance over and there's Leslie, striding over like she's got something to say.
"Hey," I greet her with a nod.
"Hey," she responds, like we're about to have a showdown or something.
We chill in silence for a beat, stars twinkling above like they're watching the show. Then, out of the blue, Leslie drops a bomb. "You really meant what you said about the engagement, huh?"
I meet her gaze, no BS. "Yeah, I did. But it's not about pulling the plug. It's about us finding our own paths."
She blinks, like she didn't see that coming. "I thought I was the only one feeling that way."
"Well, surprise," I tease, chuckling a bit.
Before I can get all deep and philosophical, a distant roar fills the air. We both turn our heads and see a freaking majestic golden Draconian soaring like it owns the sky.
