Albert, I'm really scared, Nigho said out of fear ever since the scene this morning she had been restless. Albert was scared too if it got licked out it was over for him, and his scholarship would get terminated, he wondered how his mother would react, and he made a loud and long sigh.
Albert what should we do, Nigho walked up to him, her face was swollen because of all the crying she had done throughout the day.
I don't know! I don't fucking know! Albert shouted at her, he was frustrated and exhausted from thinking Nigho wasn't helping with all her pestering which annoyed the hell out of him.
Nigho took a few steps back, she had been frightened. This was the first time Albert had shouted at her and it made her scared, he could do anything when he was frustrated and with the way he toward over her.
I-I'm sorry for shouting at you, I'm just not...not...Albert couldn't find the right words to use, he looked around over Nigho's head wondering what to say next but nothing came to mind.
I-I'll be staying at my place today. We need some time apart to think about what to do, Nigho picked her jacket from the couch and headed for the door.
She held the door nob and looked over her shoulder to see Albert holding the backrest of the sofa to support his stand, she sighed before exiting the apartment Albert looked at the door after she had closed the door behind her.
.....
Lizzy looked at her vibrating phone which was on the table in the center of the huge room she was in, the ringing woke her up. She looked at her phone, which had already stopped ringing, before looking at Xander. She giggled when she saw Xander looking at her, she wondered if it was her phone that woke him up like it did with her.
My pho...
Leave the phone, he whined.
Why, she couldn't help but smile.
He looked around as if a reason would pop out of nowhere. He sat up on his back before pulling her into his arms, she laughed at his gesture. During the days she had spent with Xander Lizzy had been too preoccupied with being happy, Xander was like a light in her life during the past days.
She had wanted to diss him when he kept calling her but she needed something to take her mind off of what she had just seen. She felt cheated on even though she knew she shouldn't. Thinking about it now Albert didn't love her, he always looked over at Nigho before doing anything with her, she felt stupid, she felt she had been used even though she forced herself she didn't care. When did all this happen?
She thought hard till she was able to connect all the dots.
What's wrong? Xander asked out of concern, Lizzy looked sad and lost in thought. He wondered if he had done anything bad but none came to mind.
It's nothing, she forced a smile on her face.
She tilted her head, looking at Xander's lip and then his eyes before moving back to his lips.
The man she was disgusted with was making her happy, and comfortable, making all her worries go away. If she stayed with him she'd only get wrinkles for smiling all day long.
Do you want to kiss this marvelous lip of mine, Xander pointed at his lip while he smiled mischievously at her.
Ew, no, she said teasingly.
He pulled her in gently making her fall on his chest. Out of shock, she squawked. Xander laughed out loud, he stopped for a bit to look at her before laughing loudly again she pouted at him.
I'm sorry, he said while holding in his laugh. She still wasn't pleased with him. I'm sorry, he repeated.
She pushed herself to the edge of the bed, and when she stood up the blanket that covered her fell off leaving her naked.
Where are you going, Xander asked his breathing was still uneven because he had laughed.
Going to freshen up, is there a problem? She said while looking at him with her head resting on her shoulders.
No. He jolted up from the bed, now standing behind her, he held her waist and inhaled her scent while his eyes were closed. You smell like sex.....
And who's the cause? She tried to escape from his grip but he tightened it instead.
Let's stay like this, he said in a low sad tone which made her worry a little.
She stood still not saying anything. The cool breeze landing on their bare skin coming through from the terrace made Lizzy shiver a little. Xander pulled her in more, it was like he wanted to be one with her.
Are you cold? He asked, his voice was low and comforting it felt like he was scared that if he sounded a little bit louder she'd leave him.
No, she replied abruptly trying to convince herself and also him.
He chuckled softly which sounded like a cry. Lizzy was getting worried because this was a first, he was never like this throughout the time she was with him, he was always smiling but serious at the same time but now he was acting like he was lost. She wanted to ask him again but she knew not to say anything but give him space and let him have this moment. Lizzy's phone rang and the silence which felt like she was aging broke, she still contemplated whether she should check her phone or stay still for Xander.
Xander finally let go of her, he stepped back before picking up his robe from the ground, he wore it and then made his way to the terrace. All Lizzy did was stare at his back pondering on thoughts that flowed, her ring again bringing her out of her introspection. She ran to her ringing phone just to be disappointed at who phoned, she rolled her eyes multiple times like the caller was in front of her. She answered it anyway.
Heeey, she said, it was so fake even the caller could tell.
What's wrong? The caller asked, it was a cracking female voice, the woman on the other end sounded like had been crying for a really long time.
Nothing nothing, you just called at the perfect time, she said sarcastically and rolled her eyes again.
Oh, I'll call back later if you tell me when you're free or you could call me when convenient, the woman had hope in her voice.
Just talk already.
Upon hearing Lizzy's voice Xander came into the room to check on her.
Is everything alright, he mouthed.
She nodded positively.
