THE CLASS was silent except for the light sounds of the charcoal against a flat surface and the occasional rustling of papers. Adda folded the paper once, then turned It around again, then put the front page facing the ceiling once more. She couldn't think of a single piece of information, a single phrase, a single concept, she had yet to put on the paper. That was definitely It, she had finished the exam and yet she felt like she had already failed It. A dreading sense that lingered even when she left the classroom with her light bag on her shoulders.
Adda sat on the wide stairs of the ground floor, waiting for her friend to join her and fidgets with her fingers. She hoped it didn't take her much more to finish, since the bus had a stop every fifteen minutes or more and Catalina would have to wait a lot otherwise. However, she could always wait with her and talk more, she reminded herself.
