Chapter 12 - The Winter is here

December, 7, 1420

Scarlet's sudden attack on Tyrolia put the whole county on edge, as it was unexpected and left the residents feeling vulnerable. The suddenness of the attack also raised concerns about the overall security and stability of the country, prompting authorities to reassess their defense strategies.

There is a secret room in the castle's basement that serves as a meeting room, and inside of it, elders are meeting to discuss important matters. The room is hidden behind a bookshelf, accessible only to those who know the secret mechanism. Within its walls, decisions are made that shape the destiny of the kingdom, guarded by the wisdom and experience of the elders.

"They retreated to Garrera, we must take it back, before they attack us again!" one of the elders said.

"Do we got the manpower to take Garrera back to our hands?" one of the elders asked.

"Yes, we have the manpower to take Garrera back, but i believe we will have a hard time sieging Garrera, since General Wilton is not with us anymore" Captain Jed replied.

"What about you, Captain? Do you think you can handle the siege?" one of the elders inquired.

Jed shakes his head and says, "I only commanded dragonriders, I don't have any experience commanding ground units, so I doubt I can handle this siege.

"King Felix, do you have any ideas?" Jed asks the king.

The king thinks, pausing for a moment before responding, "I will take command." The whole room went silent after the king spoke about his idea,

"King Felix, you're a general before right?" Captain Jed asked, "Yes, i am" he replied.

"But, sir, you are still injured because of your fight yesterday, are you sure about this?" one of the elders asked, "Yes" the king replied.

"Well, we are dismissed, i will conduct a plan for our attack on Garrera, Jed come with me, and elders i will leave the city to you." The king added.

The king leave the meeting room with Jed, and head to the king's office, the elders on the other hand went outside of the castle, to inspect the city, and the civilians who got their homes destroyed because of the cannon barrage they got.

On the streets of Tyrolia, Aria was searching Neo, until Cera found her, "Aria! have you found your friend?" Cera exclaimed.

"I still hadn't, i'm very worried now" Aria responded.

"Hmmm, you said you last saw him on the castle, right?" Cera said.

"Yeah, he said, he got something to do first, so i leave him alone there" Aria responded.

"And when was that?" Cera asked.

"It's when we found the two soldiers carrying you" Aria said.

"In that time, my father was only the one left inside the castle" Cera spoke.

".....Ah!! maybe father know his whereabouts!" Cera exclaimed,

"Let's go talk to my father, Aria!" Cera added.

"But isn't your father is on meeting right now?" Aria asked.

"The meeting ended just now, so we can talk to him" Cera replied.

"How did you know?" Aria inquired.

"Because i saw the elders leaving the castle" Cera responded.

"Come on, Aria, let's go to the castle." Cera added.

The two of them went to the castle to meet with the king, they first searched for him at the throne room, but he was not there, so they headed to the king's room. The king was inside with Jed, both of them are conducting a perfect plan to capture Garrera back to their hands.

Aria and Cera heard of what they were talking about, and then Cera suddenly barged in and yelled, "Father! Are you going to Garrera!?"

The king and Jed both stared at her in shock. The king then admitted that he was going to Garrera to capture it.

"I will come too!" Cera exclaimed.

"You can't! Cera. Stay here on the city!" The king said.

"Father, as the next heir to the throne, I should be involved in important decisions like this," Cera argued passionately.

The king sighed, realizing that his daughter's determination was unyielding. "Very well, but promise me you will stay close and follow my orders," he finally relented.

"Anyway, do you still got anything to ask? Cera?" The king spoke,

"Oh, yes father, Aria here got a question" Cera replied.

"Oh, Aria i didn't know you was here, thank you so much for the help yesterday" The king said after he saw Aria behind Cera.

"Oh, that's nothing, i just did what is necessary"

"Anyway, you got a question for me right?" The king said,

"Yes, it's about yesterday, when you are inside the castle, do you see a man same with my age, with a black hair, and black eyes?" She inquired,

"Yes, i saw a man like that, is his name is, Neo Bastion?" the king responded,

"Yes! that's his name, do you know where is he?" She asked,

"Hmm, i got a bad news for you, Neo was taken away by Scarlet" The king replied.

The night has finally come after a long day, and now Scarlet's army is resting on Garrera after the attack they did on Tyrolia, and once again, Scarlet is on the top balcony of the Kamilla, her favorite spot.

"Vongord is a better country than Azkon; look up Kaizer! There are so many stars to observe here! Scarlet exclaimed.

Scarlet's words echoed through the night, a mixture of triumph and playful taunting. Kaizer winced at the reminder of his injury, his neck still sore from Aria's attack. He longed to join Scarlet in admiring the stars above, but for now, he could only listen and imagine their brilliance.

"General Scarlet" He said,

"Look! Kaizer that formation of stars looks like neck braces!" She exclaimed,

"Will you shut up already!" Kaizer yelled at Scarlet,

"Hahaha, i'm just joking with you Kaizer" She said,

"Anyway you got anything to report?" she added,

"Yes, you're master finally woke up" Kaizer reported.

Scarlet celebrated after hearing what Kaizer reported. She then immediately headed toward her bedroom inside the Kamilla, where she put Neo, when suddenly a big breeze came from the sea.

The breeze rustled through the curtains, filling the room with a refreshing scent of saltwater. Scarlet paused for a moment, captivated by the soothing sound of waves crashing against the shore. Intrigued, she stepped closer to the window, wondering what could have caused such a powerful gust.

And she saw something she doesn't expect to see in Garrera, "Kaizer, look up" she asked to Kaizer,

"I just said stop it!" Kaizer responded,

"No, i'm serious" she said, what Scarlet saw was a large airship hovering above the sea.

It was the largest airship Azkon have ever built, the Kraken.

"Brother?" Kaizer muttered to himself
