Luna and Milo ran through the hallways upon hearing the scandal that had been made. Through one of the windows, the girl saw a strange animal fly.
"Look at that," she pointed out. "It looks like someone is manipulating it."
Milo looked, he could sense that it was his brother when Luna exclaimed his name.
"It's Zev! Maybe he already finished the loops but then that creature must be the mother ether," she looked at him intently, "surely Ocean has already returned too."
Luna ran towards the training area where the reinforcements were sure to be, but Milo stopped her.
"Is something wrong?" she asked fearfully.
"Luna," he brought her closer to him, "do you trust me?"
Luna opened her eyes, her body began to tremble until Milo grabbed her cheeks to bring her to his lips.
"What happen?"
"Tell me something Luna, do you still think there is something strange with the reinforcements?"
Luna began to doubt when she heard that question, she wasn't sure if she really distrusted them or not.
"Do you trust me? You like me?"
Luna didn't respond but that was exactly what she wanted to talk to Ocean about, ask her for relationship advice, she wanted to tell her about the night they both spent together.
"Luna, come with me," he extended his hand, waiting for her to take it.
For their part, Ayden and Barret were going at high speed, they were about to reach the Dawn base but there was a lot of movement, people were housed in different communes although being busy doing that, it would be difficult for them to be discovered. Without thinking so much they slipped through the corridors until they reached the purple room, there was the bridge to eternal life.
Meanwhile, Evander noticed that the city was in chaos, there was lava, which indicated that Ocean had surely done something to defend herself, so he urgently needed to find her. He heard footsteps near him and when he turned his body he saw her.
"Ocean!" He approached her, who was agitated, "are you okay?"
"Evander..." She paused, "yes, I'm fine but some mysterious men are following me, we should go home, I didn't find anything interesting here."
She started to run without expecting it but he followed her, seeing the scene it could be very powerful people, almost at the level of the Dawn community.
"Evander," he heard a voice in his mind.
He didn't stop, he kept running after Ocean.
"How are we going to get back?" she asked.
"I don't feel like Ayden's loop is active, surely Zev could have escaped."
"Zev? Did he escape?"
"Yes, I think his power has improved, he just didn't manage to escape my loop, the others did."
Ocean didn't say anything and continued running aimlessly.
"Hey, I have an idea to come back," Evander shouted, "the painting, take me to the museum, that drawing must be a portal."
Ocean now had a direction to follow so she hurried and guided him to the museum even knowing that it had been closed. Being a few streets away they had to stop and find a way to enter. Ocean looked at him and gently touched his chest.
"You're so handsome, but being here, I think I liked Zev more," she smiled at him in a different way.
Evander felt strange at that confession.
"What are you saying?"
"Nothing, come on," she took him by the hand, "it's closed but there is an entrance on the next street, let's get the hell out of there, I can't stand being here."
Ocean had strange mood swings, Evander preferred to ignore her comments regarding Zev, perhaps the change in dimension had affected her, she even physically looked different, she looked thinner and more tired, as if she had not eaten in days.
Standing in front of the painting, Ocean took his hand and squeezed it tightly, asking him to enter first but without letting go. Evander approached the painting, touched the black spots but they didn't feel real or fresh, yet a strange light emanated from the painting.
"Ready?"
She nodded.
On the other hand, Ayden and Barret entered the northern lights with the intention of finding their brothers.
Lines, colors, smells, textures, this is how a trip between dimensions felt, a strange combination between reality and hallucinogens.
Ocean was scared, the feeling was difficult to digest but Evander seemed to have a good time. The portal closed and on a crystallized lake stood four entities, Ayden, Barret, Evander and Ocean, all four reunited.
"Nix has left, just like the black beast but we don't know where they went, they both split up and Zev accompanies her," Barret said.
"Zev? Is he okay?" Ocean asked, quite worried.
"Well, he is still controlled by Nix, technically he died but she revived him."
"Died? That can not be possible."
"Ocean, what the fuck is wrong with you?You came back very sensitive, being there affected you," said Barret.
"I'm fine! It's just the damn dimension shift and about Zev, if he's not dead, I want to kill him myself."
Ayden approached Ocean and created a mirror of water making her back away.
"Why are you attacking me?" She took a knife out of her pocket, ready to hurt Ayden.
"Guys, she's not our Ocean," he said, showing great calm.
Evander was already suspicious, something was not right with her. Ayden's water reflected the true identity of the substitute, who was with them was Ocean but the one from Zev's dimension, her intentions were clear, she had been manipulated by a third party to impersonate the Ocean they knew, however, they didn't seem to be very professional with brainwashing.
"Damn!" Barret complained. "Do you know what that means? Without our Ocean we won't be able to get out of here, we need her element to open the portal again."
"Hey, where's Ocean?" he asked his double.
Evander remembered hearing a voice in his head, it was from his Ocean, a signal he took a while to pick up. He felt sorry for having taken an innocent woman to another dimension, he had also left his girlfriend in that city so the disappointment increased.
"I'm going to get her out of the mind control they subjected her to, when she's okay she'll tell us everything and we can find out where they have Ocean," Ayden said, "but it'll take a while."
"There has to be another way, we can't waste time, how about we test our loops?" Barret suggested.
"Impossible," Evander said, "that is risky, we cannot mix our elements or it will be worse, if Ocean does not find us, there will be no way but I trust her."
"Evander is right, without her we cannot put our plan into action," Ayden put the other Ocean to sleep and began to use his power to get her out of that trance and talk once and for all.
Meanwhile in the bunker, Kylen organized his troops, Maeko controlled the citizens to take them to a deeper level into the earth and protect them from any evil without them having to worry.
Ronda, for her part, went in search of Luna and Milo but quickly returned with Kylen.
"Everyone is at their posts, commander, but I have bad news."
"Don't scare me Ronda, what's happening?"
"Luna and Milo are not there, I looked for them throughout the bunker, they are gone..."
Kylen analyzed the situation, Milo had to follow Zev and they both convinced Luna to follow them.
"She's still a traitor anyway," Maeko commented, putting a bit of blame on Luna.
They didn't waste any more time, the troops were ready to defend what little was left of their world, with everything in place, all they had to do was wait for the next attack.
Ronda ran to her room with the pretext that she had forgotten her Resistance badge, but she fell to the floor exhausted, with a sad look.
"I'm sorry for them," she said, thinking about Milo and Luna, "I'm sorry for everyone."
She thought of her friends the reinforcements, of her forbidden love Barret, of the commander, of the survivors and of her best friend, Ocean. She felt deep sadness and disappointment, as if she knew something that others didn't.
