I really, really, reallllly don't want to be here right now.
"We have to go left!"
"I told you already- I saw a big shadow over there!" Yes, even to me that sounds weak. But trust me. That was a super freaky shadow.
"Ohhhh. A shadow. You're right. That way is too scary. Let's go right, then, where I saw the LITERAL DRAGON!?" Seeque is a bit unhinged... well, let me rephrase that. She's a bit more unhinged than usual. I guess being in a situation where the wrong choice could lead to possible one-way interdimensional travel could be pretty stressful.
But that shadow was far freakier than any silly old interdimensional travel.
"Uhm... you guys do realize there's like ten different paths you can take other than the two you are arguing about, right?" The man who's house we rudely entered comments helpfully.
"Shhh. They're new to the marriage scene. I can tell." The beautiful redhead says in a motherly tone. "They're not actually fighting about which way to go. This is just an opportunity to get past a previous issue these two newlyweds were struggling through."
"Oh." The man and myself say simultaneously.
Wait. Newlyweds? Uh oh.
I side-eye Seeque. Is she really not that concerned about the scary shadow I saw or the dragon she claims to have seen? Either way, she's not going to remember that anymore.
"We are NOT newlyweds." Seeque says with a quiet, but extremely serious tone to the nice redhead. "I would rather kill myself." She finishes with a HUMPH!
Yup, called it.
"Don't worry, friend." The man puts his hand on my shoulder. "I've dealt with my wife saying those exact words many a time. She'll get over it with time. Just give her a minute. In the meantime, why are you so afraid of dragons? They're actually super nice. In fact, they helped me and my wife get over our attachment to suicide."
I don't know whether to laugh at Seeque or be very concerned about... everything.
"I guess that scary shadow isn't so bad." I whisper to Seeque.
Before I can blink, she tackles me and suddenly we're traveling through dimensions. It's super pretty, but I can feel motion sickness kicking in with a strength I do not look forward to facing.
Suddenly, we find ourselves... in a startlingly familiar place.
"Where the hell are we?"
Well, judging by the architecture and the fat people... we're somewhere in the good ol' U S of A. "I have no idea."
