"I've been trapped in this world for too long.
I know there's something, somewhere out there, or even someone that holds the fate, the destiny and the story of this world. I have yet to find my way to reach that place, that…person, but with science, I believe one day I will achieve my goal.
One day I will be able to change my own fate.
One day I will be the one who writes my story.
Your first mistake is to immortalize me, Q̶͍͙̪͌̈͛̌̿3҉͕̤̩̇͊̈́̋J̶̤̬̞͇̆̊ḻ̴͉̮̠̦̍͌̊́͊Y҈͔̞̎͋̽X̵͇̣̦̌̍R҉̳̬̗̦̎̇̄͂̎v̶̲͇̪͑̒c̵̣̗̝͇̘̊̇̏̑͑g̶̰̪̔̌=҉̲̤͙̟͗̾͌̾̂ͅ=҉̝͔͚̰̽̌͆.
How foolish."
…
…beep…beep beep…beep beep!
With a groan, a young male shut the screeching alarm clock right next to his bed. Morning is really not his strong feat but with college kept hovering in his mind for months, he still has to drag himself out of the bed despite not wanting to. It's still early in the morning though, so he takes his time getting ready and making breakfast for himself and his roommate.
"Wow, Charlie. You actually woke up on time today." His roommate greets him. A towel hanging over his shoulders is a sign that they just returned after their usual morning exercises.
"Shut up for once, will you?" The male, whose name is Charlie, responds with annoyance.
"Jeez, I'm only surprised. Don't be such a grump." His roommate isn't surprised by Charlie's attitude and retreats to the bathroom. The sound of the shower turning on and soon enough, it becomes a comfortable background noise for Charlie. He begins to make a simple breakfast for today. Just simple bacon and eggs with toast and juice, the classic. Soft sizzling sounds coming from the oil heating up in the pan when he puts in the bacon. He carefully sets the bacon aside to make some space for the eggs.
The moment he got the bread toasted, his roommate returned after a quick shower. Now in a proper outfit, they settle down on one of the chairs real quick.
"Ah, it's nice to come out of the shower right when the smell of breakfast is ready~!" The roommate exclaims and immediately digs into his plate of bacon and eggs. Charlie doesn't give the other any responses when he himself begins to eat his as well.
Shortly afterwards, both males are already on their ways to the campus, with their bags either on the shoulders or in one hand. None of them have spoken anything else after breakfast and they only mind their own business. Ever since college started for Charlie, he has been worse than the state he was around high school. With how miserable he currently looks, it's a wonder to him that he even got accepted in colleges, or maybe they're just pitying him. Either way, he's in college now and he'll have to pull this through.
Charlie is still trying to pull his best look since his first day. He has brushed his long, messy, light silver hair nicely. He's also dressed in his recently bought clothes. Just a plain white shirt and long black jeans, with a dark blue-grayish jacket and a pair of red sneakers. Charlie also did put on some light make-up, mainly to cover up his awful face and make it easier for people to look at. And with a small finishing touch, there are a few rings decorating his fingers, earrings and three hair clips, colored in white, keeping a part of his hair from covering his left eye. Although, maybe he should consider finding another accessory to keep the whole hair from covering both of his eyes or just let it cover them.
Charlie has his earphones plugged into the phone and he plays music to pass the time on the bus. It's always crowded on the bus at this time of the week and the small talks, whispers or even just a small click that shoes make whenever they land on the surface of the floor, make Charlie want to go insane. Soft melody rings into his ears, making him drift away into a small nap…
『Why are you so obsessed with it?』
「This is why everyone thinks you're insane!」
"I don't understand…"
[.... .- .-- -.- / .-- .- .-.. -.- . .-.]
"Charlie!"
He was woken up by the rough shaking of his roommate next to him. He slowly looks at the other, seeing the concern coming from their expression.
"Your tears… They're…" The roommate hesitantly points out. That's when he notices the wet sensation crawling down his cheeks. He quickly turns his face away to wipe them off with a quick apology. "Sorry, bad dream."
He doesn't know what they responded but he doesn't care anyways. What in his mind now is those barely audible voices he just heard within his nap. That was so random but at the same time, oddly specific. This is not an uncommon occurrence to Charlie, as he has experienced multiple dreams, or nightmares, similar to it. Sometimes, it's not even in a dream.
They thought that he was hallucinating, that what he heard was not real. Some even said he might have Schizophrenia, due to the symptoms and the history of mental illness within his family's bloodline.
Ultimately, he assumes this nightmare is the same as the others and pushes it far back into the depth of his mind.
