===A/N: Similar to Minecraft Steve Stand Webnovel, but in Skyblock and most world jumps will be Anime related===
It felt strange, to have no memories.
I think I had a name, a life, a purpose.
But they are gone….maybe.
I don't even know how I ended up on top of a blocky tree. How do these leaves even support my weight? And…they feel earthy? Dirt? Why is there dirt in the tree leaves?
I surveyed around to make sense of my surroundings, hoping to recognise anything familiar. But it was an empty space of nothingness, seemingly stretching to the vast unknown. I peered between the leaves below, only to see the dark abyss downwards. As for the cubic tree, it was supported by a floating cube block of dirt.
Fuck, I'm in Minecraft, specifically the Skyblock mod. Do I even respawn if I fall down to the void? ….Let's not test that out.
I lay down, looking through the leaves to see below. Yep, some oak logs and only one dirt block. So, there is no chest of resources or extra space and the tree doesn't look vanilla. Is this a modded version of skyblock?
Fuck, I can't even make the cobble generator. At least I can try to destroy these leaf blocks carefully.
[INVENTORY UNLOCKED]
A transparent screen popped into my mind, showing the full might of the inventory, some books, a torch, a coffee and bread in my hotbar. I could mentally switch items in my hotbar but a bit more effort if I slot the items deeper in my pockets.
And these books in my inventory are…Advancements (I remember how useless that was but since I don't have a keyboard, this book will definitely help), Cooking (some of these ingredients look hard to acquire) and JEI?
How does a JEI book work?
I popped it open and saw the endless pages that detailed way too many recipes. I must have been given the book since I don't have the JEI interface, welp that's gonna take a hotbar slot. You can really take that JEI Hud for granted until you suddenly don't have it.
After having a cursory look at the book of knowledge, I decided to slowly break the leaves of the tree by layers. Since there was only one dirt block, I needed to destroy the leaves first then the logs. I hated building with slabs but it was the most efficient block for the early stage.
I nearly fell twice while breaking the last layer of leaves and was left with 5 unharvested dirt logs. 5 should be enough to get a crafting table, a crook and some planks for making slabs. From the leaves, I caught 3 dirt saplings and 5 dirt acorns. I was quite devastated when my first dirt sapling fell into the void and I nearly lunged for it.
So, the next step on the advancements is a drying rack and I would need a fair amount of dirt acorns to craft the Petrified Sapling. Might as well eat a raw acorn to see if it was actually a viable food source while I place the planks.
CRUNCH!
…Yep, definitely needs to be cooked or salted. Fuck, I don't have any water to wash this taste. How much is my hunger? Missing three bars…I might as well drink that coffee and help get rid of that acorn taste.
Now where was I? Oh yeah, making sure my slab platform is compact and small, only around 3 by 4 blocks and clearly illuminated by the torch. I didn't have a way to make torches yet and rather not see the mobs yet. I am not Steve and I don't know if I can't tank a Skeleton arrow to the face.
Staring at the freshly planted saplings, I wondered how to accelerate their growth. In the modpack, spamming shift would send the green particles but I tried twerking and nothing happened.
Squatting?
Pooping? Does Steve even defecate? I haven't even had to piss.
I bent my legs for a squat and green particles channelled toward the dirt sapling, immediately growing into a full tree. I don't feel tired after multiple squats.
After drying out the dirt acorns using the drying racks, I started mass-producing Petrified Trees and crafted Cobblestone and wooden materials like slabs and sticks. Cobblestone is the king of blocks!
The first order of business was Furnaces, yeeting as much wood as possible to make Charcoal. With this coal, I was expanding my area with numerous slabs and spammed torches everywhere. Once I get that cobblestone gen working, I'll make those important mob farms.
The newly expanded space allowed for more farms, storage and even a small dirt patch that could slowly grow into Grass blocks. As I placed my first Double Chest, my head rippled with a migraine and memories started to flood;
'Oi, I need more logs, $#@!@$$*'
'What?! I thought I just gave you guys two double chests of logs! What kind of machine did you build this time?!'
'We upgraded #%_+$%^&@'s Generator and my Pipes. When are you done with those Storage Buses?'
'I need more Gold and Quartz and can get a stack ready. Is $^%@$14/ done with her expedition? You got anything good?'
'Decent loot, put where?'
'I finished that Terminal so chuck everything in there.'
Were those my memories? Damn, only Minecraft related and I seemed to be playing with…friends? No clue tho, our names were omitted or glitched for some reason. But those memories did give some clues about me.
I was the storage guy, the hoarder who collected every item and block. I seem to have the knack of playing around with chests and hated anything with generators or machinery. I was also a semi-builder, building cool large houses with whatever was in the storage.
There were a couple of storage systems I felt familiar with but they required quite a bit of precious materials in Applied Energistics 2. Barrels and Drums got too crazy and obsolete over time. Simple Network was a bit annoying. At least my JEI book has instructions relating to the blocks and their mechanics. It reminded me of the Create Mod with all the easy diagrams. I'll probably stick with my Storage Drives since I was most familiar with them.
I'm thinking too far now, let's just progress on the trees and make those goddamn bonsai pots.
Huh, why am I getting shivers from thinking of the clay and hoppers?
