The light faded away, and Demian found himself just outside a densely sparse forest; city gates loomed ahead of him down a winding dirt path.
"So this is Benton," Laxel muttered, looking unimpressed.
"It is unfortunate that we won't be able to look around the market and check out the various stalls that vendors have set up," Lady Shana remarked wistfully.
"Eh? There isn't much to see in Westmore," Prince Carlton commented lazily with a shrug of his shoulders. "You should come to Voma if you wish to see a real market."
Demian was honestly shocked by how calm everyone was acting. They were on a literal rescue mission and these people were just casually conversing. Were they actually this calm or were they just putting on a facade?
It was then when Demian realized that that soul bond between him and Remi started thrumming stronger with a gentle hum. He looked towards the city's walls. Remi was just beyond those walls.
