"Get away! Damn it, what are you doing?" A rough voice sounded as the loud sound of the car's brake echoed on the road, then the car crashed into something.
"Bang!!!"
"Ahhhh." Many people who saw the scene were shocked and hurried over to see it.
Jun Mu Yang who was holding two purple cotton candies, happened to turn around and see a scene that became his nightmare forever.
He saw that the girl in the black and white school uniform was running to the street at the fastest speed. Then, a car arrived, and the car crashed into her body fiercely. This happened in just a second.
The girl was lying in the pool of blood, but everyone noticed that she seemed to protect something tightly.
The two cotton candies fell from his hands, and he ran forward desperately, as if he wished he could teleport immediately in front of that figure.
"Yue! Yue! Answer me! Yue!!" Jun Mu Yang held the girl's cold body gently because he was afraid that he would hurt her. He couldn't even speak properly. The cold male god, in everyone's eyes, now became messy as tears flowed down from his eyes.
"Little kitten, don't be naughty. Next time, go to your parents." She opened her hands, and a cute white kitten with a foxtail came out. She let go of the kitten, but her eyes flashed with regret. The kitten shouldn't be stained with her red blood.
"A….A'Yang….don't…cry…live…well…" She struggled to speak as she wanted to lift her bloody hand to touch the man's pale face. But she was afraid that she'd dirty him.
She was helpless.
"Yue, Yue, don't talk! Wait a minute. The car, the hospital, i about to arrive." Jun Mu Yang's face was bloodless as he trembled to speak. He hurried, holding her small palm, and let her palm touch his face without feeling any disgust.
He was frightened and petrified. For the first time in his life, he shed tears. He was never afraid of anything, not even death, but now he was scared of not seeing her anymore. No, please don't take her from him.
"A'Yang…don't forget…to eat…and..sleep well..at night…don't…forget…to drink…medicine." Bei Yueyue didn't forget to remind him. He had been sick since he was a child. Jun Mu Yang suffered a heart attack every so often. So he has to take the medicine daily. Sometimes he forgets to take the medicine, and she is the one to remind him.
Bei Yueyue's dark eyes looked at the orange sky; the sun was about to set, bringing the mesmerizing color to the sky. The nature is amazingly stunning.
If possible, she wished that she could fly high in the sky, touch the sea of clouds, and look at the spectacular scenery around the world. She liked those cultivators mentioned inside the book.
She smiled gently at the man who was crying like a baby. She really wants to stand up and wipe away the tears of anguish from those pair of beautiful eyes.
Jun Mu Yang was stunned. This is the first time that Yue smiled at him. So beautiful, so warm, so gentle, so...
Her smile seemed to tell him that she'd be alright. But, how could you be alright? How?
The girl's eyes closed, and tears slipped from her eyes. She doesn't know how sad A'Yang will be after she's gone. She hopes that someday he'll move on and forget about her. Some day, there'll be a girl who will take care of him instead of her.
Her hand went soft and fell down slowly.
His empty eyes were only filled with the girl's beautiful smile. Her smile had been carved deeply into the depths of his soul.
Jun MuYang felt that her heart stopped beating. His tears stopped flowing, and then four drops of red blood flowed from his eyes and fell on the girl's bloodless face.
His eyes lost their luster; what remained was emptiness, as if everything in the world had nothing to do with him.
No emotion could be seen in his empty eyes—no suffering, no despair, no broken heart, no desperation—nothing.
Just because… His heart was already dead from the moment that she closed her eyes. If his heart was already dead, how could he feel the pain? How could his tears fall? How could he cry?
His heart beat slowly—too slowly that it almost stopped beating. His heart rate can be stopped in any second, but he refused to give up now. His eyes were full of the girl's figure.
Is he dreaming? He must be dreaming now, right? There is no way that Yue is going to leave him alone. If this was just a dream, why did his heart hurt so much? As if someone were tormenting him now.
Yue promised that she was going to accompany him to watch the sunset one day.
Yue promised him to have a meal together every day after school ended.
Yue said that he would always find her as long as he turned around.
Yue said that she is going to live well, as she promised to that man.
Yue....she said that as long as he doesn't abandon her, she will never leave him.
Yue never breaks her promise. She always does what she says. She is such an obedient and good girl.
Yue....can you see? Did you feel it? Can you hear my voice? I'm extremely sad now; my heart will stop beating anytime. Hurry, open your eyes...
As long as you open your eyes, I'll be obedient from now on and listen to you. I'll take care of myself and beat myself not to forget about eating the medicine.
As long as you open your eyes, I'll never tease you or eat your noodles again.
The place he was now was like the living hell on Earth. He only felt the darkness enveloping his soul. He can't see anything beyond her figure. His eyes slowly turned bloody red,, not knowing if it was because of his blood or what.
"Yue…" He called out the girl's name softly as the crimson-red blood started to flow from his red lips. He didn't care but bowed his head down, put his lips against her soft lips, and kissed her gently with pity, regret, and love.
Everyone who saw this scene will never forget it for the rest of their lives. People's tears unconsciously flow down.
The event will become the most touching scene ever. A girl who sacrificed her life to save the little kitten, a girl who held the kitten gently as if she were afraid that the kitten would be dirty with her blood.
A man who didn't say anything or go crazy, but he hugged and kissed the girl gently as if the girl were the most priceless treasure in the world.
No one notices two figures who were witnessing everything silently.
"It's time." The dirty and poor old man's eyes flashed as he sighed.
He walked across the street, towards the two figures, then squatted down and put his hand on Jun MuYang's right shoulder.
"Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts." He paused, then continued, "They felt sorry for your loss, but were delighted for your derivation." He muttered some strange words as he looked at the place.
"Do you want to be with her forever?" A powerful voice sounded. Time seemed to stop. People's movements were frozen at the same time; the leaves that were falling down froze in the air, and the sun that was about to set changed the color slightly from orange to scarlet.
"Please, as long as I can be with her, I'm willing to exchange and willing to do anything!" Jun Mu Yang seemed to find his last hope to struggle and breathe heavily. This is the longest sentence he has spoken to a stranger since he was born until now.
He hugged the girl's cold body tightly as he turned to look at the old man. His eyes went blurry because of the blood, but he refused to close them, afraid that the moment he closed them, he'd lose his last tiny hope.
Even if he goes to hell or lets him die a thousand times, he is willing. As long as he could be with her. Hell or heaven, darkness or light, a sea of fire or a mountain of needles—as long as there is her, he will not hesitate to stay.
If he can be with her, even if he turns into an ugly monster or a hideous demon, he'll not hesitate as long as she doesn't feel disgusted with him or as long as he can see her smile. Even if the people in the world hate him, he doesn't care.
"Those who we love and lose are always connected by heartstrings into infinity, don't you think so?." The old man then smiled as his aura changed greatly.
The old man looked at the man's soulless state with hopeful eyes.
The white kitten ignored everything, only staring at the girl's bloody body. The kitten's eyes filled with gratitude and heartache and finally turned into relief.
The kitten licked the blood on the girl's broken left hand, and then the lotus mandala between the kitten's eyebrows glowed.
The kitten disappeared strangely, as if it never existed on Earth.
