Chapter 10 - The Abysall Forest

Bloodline Ability, a type of ability that differs in each bloodline. This types of abilities are engraved in bloodline. They are mostly unique to their bloodline.

The main application of the Devouring Bloodline is not to help one get stronger by acquiring characteristics like fast speed, regeneration, hardened skin, and more. Its primary function is to devour the bloodline and obtain the Bloodline Ability with a 100% success rate.

With there being an uncountable number of Bloodlines and Bloodline Abilities, one doesn't have to face a lack of ability. With the characteristics of the Bloodline, their strength, speed, stamina, endurance, regeneration, and more will be at another level than normal.

There are countless dangers of possessing multiple bloodlines, but the Devouring Bloodline seemed to defy these issues, offering no side effects.

A young man with black hair and eyes, a fair face, and a tall, muscular build, stood before the ominous, blood-red forest. Leo's heart remained steadfast, devoid of wavering emotion, despite the eerie aura emanating from the dark woods.

"Is this a Lucid Dream?" Leo pondered as the last thing he remembered was going to sleep.

He surveyed his surroundings, enveloped in an impenetrable darkness, with only the blood-red forest visible, giving off an ominous vibe. This place seemed to be none other than "The Abyssal Forest."

Leo's eyes narrowed, his heart quickening its pace. Having grown up near a city connected to the Abyssal Forest's Monster Domain, he had acquired knowledge about it.

In this world, only four Monster Domains bore names, each housing entities capable of bringing disasters upon the world. They were said to possess power beyond imagination, capable of causing destruction on a global scale. However, humans too produced powerhouses who matched their strength and eventually became renowned as the Four Heroes, leaders of the Four Great Families.

Now, gazing at the forest that harbored one of these formidable entities, Leo couldn't help but feel cold sweat forming on his back.

Suddenly, a shadowy figure darted through the woods, heading straight for Leo. Before he could react, the silhouette stood before him, its sharp claws charging directly towards his heart.

In the blink of an eye, Leo's lifeless body fell to the ground, and the figure vanished back into the forest, leaving no trace.

Darkness enveloped Leo, and all his senses were dulled. But then, from somewhere within the void, a voice resonated with an almost ethereal quality, "Get Stronger."

.

.

"Haa. Haaa. Haaa. Haaa. Haaa." Leo snapped awake, his breathing heavy and erratic, his body drenched in sweat, and his eyes wide with terror from the horrifying experience.

His trembling hand reached for his neck, which was still intact, but he could feel warm liquid trickling down his skin.

Hesitantly, he rubbed the area and looked at his blood-covered finger.
