Ariana blushed, not sure how to respond. She didn't want to lie, but she felt shy to say it out. " I don't know about that, I'm not trying to impress any one in particular, mom," she said, her voice a little higher than usual. "I just wanted to feel good about myself."
Her mother smiled, a twinkle in her eye as sge read her daughters expression and behavior .
'You must have really fallen head over hills in love with that guy to have done something I have been trying to make you do for years over night' Her mom thought to herself, still surprised that her daughter did so much for him.

Just then her father came into the kitchen, carrying the morning newspaper under his arm.
