Kentarou yawned from his slumber, feeling a sense of drowsiness , he checks his phone as his eyes widen in shock;
IT'S 6:30 IN THE MORNING!!!
"DAMN IT, I FORGOT TO PUT AN ALARM!! I'M LATE FOR SCHOOL!!"
He had to hurry or else the gates would close and he'll be shut out, he took a quick shower that made him awake but not quite clean but he can't really complain when he's this late, then he ate a quick breakfast that was comprise of a piece of toast that was still hot that it burned his tongue.
Kentarou passes his sweet grandmother in a haste, his grandma turned to him as he stumbled out the door;
"What's the hurry dear?"
Kentarou fixed his shoes in a frantic manner "I'm late grandma!! I need to hurry up!! " he tried to keep his words short.
His grandmother watches Kentarou leave before she could even ask if he ate anything, but she chuckled and waved goodbye as Kentarou ran out the gates of his home.
He quickly sprinted through the train station near his house as his feet thumping on the ground on each impact, he takes heavy breathes to get some kind of energy in him, he cuts the line making a lot of passengers angry.
He brings out his train pass on the gate and sees the train doors closing, he speeds up as everyone can hear a large thumping of leather shoes slamming onto the ground before Kentarou shoves himself in the nick of time.
He slams into people as he does so, much to the annoyance of others, as they glare at him and he looked at them with an awkward expression that he asked for mercy and forgiveness.
Eventually the passengers looked away, not wanting to deal with a young person who didn't know any better or was too head strong for their own good.
While on the train, barely catching his breath, someone shouted his name; Inoue-San!!!
It's Satoshi, his close friend since the start of the school year.
Inoue-San!!! Kentarou quickly sat beside Satoshi. "What's the rush Inoue-San?" He asked. "I thought I'm going to be late at school that's why.." Kentarou followed.
Satoshi laughed at Kentarou, "Our class today starts at 8am, not 7!". "Oh- is it? I forgot about it. Then why you're so early then??" Kentarou asked. "I need to go to library early to borrow and return some books that I've previously borrowed." Satoshi added.
Minutes later, the two friends arrived at the Station. Satoshi invited Kentarou to go to the Konbini (Convenience Store) first before heading to the school on which Kentarou agrees.
Once inside the Konbini, Satoshi quickly goes through the chips and yogurt aisle to get a snack, while Kentarou instantly went through the drinks section.
"I've got a chips and some yogurt, how about you? Have you decided what to get Inoue-San?" Satoshi said.
Some time later...
Satoshi was getting pissed off of Kentarou because he's taking too long to pick a drink;
"What's taking you so long on getting a drink Inoue-San?!" He asked.
Kentarou is still deciding if he'll gets an energy drink or a coffee..
"Okay, I'll get a coffee." Kentarou finally decided.
The two continuously walked through the school campus when Satoshi suddenly asks Kentarou about the project that will be due later that day.
"So, how's your project doing?" Satoshi asked.
"I've finished it last night, I stayed late at night just to finish our project and I'm still a lil bit tired. How about yours?" Kentarou replied.
"Ah- mine's already done! take a look". Satoshi added.
Kentarou glared at Satoshi while looking at the project that he did;
"He's smart after all..." Kentarou silently whispered.
As Kentarou isn't looking at his step, he tripped thus slamming to the ground. Some of the students saw Kentarou falls to the ground because of his clumsiness.
"How many fish have you caught Inoue-San? HAHAHAHAHA" as Satoshi chuckles while helping Kentarou to get up.
Kentarou also laughs on Satoshi's joke on him to lessen his embarrassment within the crowd.
"Be careful next time Inoue-San..." Satoshi whispered as he sighed.
"Now I'm kinda embarrassed on myself. I'll be careful next time..." Kentarou said to himself.
As they've finally entered the school campus, they instantly goes through the library on where they met Izumi, Kentarou's another friend.
"Hello, Inoue-San! You usually don't go here in the library, what's the matter?" She asked. On which Kentarou replied;
"I'm accompanying my friend Satoshi to return the books he previously borrowed".
"Ah- I see... Both of you can go here anytime if you wanted, but always keep silent as you're inside the library and the librarian might get angry". Izumi replied.
When Satoshi finally returned the books he borrowed, they finally go to their classroom.
The two finally take a seat, while Kentarou is still groggy, he decided to take a nap instead of doing his hobby; Reading.
He took attention on what was being thought on the classroom by the specialized subject teachers such as Japanese, History, Maths, and English Class.
Kentarou didn't socialize as much as Satoshi in the classroom, as he's a shy one and probably an introvert, but he's also a smart one and a top student of the classroom.
As the time goes by, it is time to pack things up and all the students prepare to go home.
Kentarou and Satoshi frequently rides a train together when going home as they have more time to chitchat about their day.
"So how's your day, Inoue-San?" Satoshi asked out of nowhere. On which Kentarou lifelessly replied;
"As usual nothing much, definitely a normal day for me. Exam Day are almost near, did you study?" Kentarou added.
"Study? I don't study. I've even barely taking notes as I can remember what was thought to us in the questionnaire." He humbly answered Kentarou.
Kentarou nodded silently.
The train finally arrived at the station, Kentarou waved to say goodbye to his friend.
"Good-bye!! See you tomorrow." He said as he leaves the train.
"Bye-bye". Satoshi then bids his good-bye to Kentarou.
Kentarou finally went home to greet his grandmother on where they ate dinner together and Kentarou continued to study for the upcoming exam thus staying late at night again.
