Sumay stopped herself by planting her feet onto the ground, breaking some of the floor below her. Still, with a blank look, she pushed her sword forward and then swung it out. The Gryphon flew back then up and started to hover. It then begins to flap its wings quietly, faster and faster, making strong winds like that of a small hurricane.
The dirt and stones from the ground followed the wind. It hit Sumay, she put her arms into an X blocking her face. Then the wind started to blow her back, giving her some small scratches on her face, arms, and legs. It slightly ripped her sleeves, shirt and shocks.
Yumiko was in a corner leaning on a stone with a smile on her face watching the show while Tanaka was a little way from Sumay.
Tanaka turned to the Gryphon then with his left hand pointed at it, he used a spell to make a wind blade and hit the Gryphon. It got flogged back and hit its back on the stone it was lying on, behind it.
"O heavens above protect me and my allies from evil, holy barrier," Sumay said.
Her golden barrier covered all of the lower ground, including Tanaka, her, and Yumiko. The Gryphon got up and started to fly again then attacked the barrier, flying around then hitting it repeatedly, scratching it with its claws. Yumiko moved from the stone she was leaning on and walked to Sumay, as did Tanaka.
"Master, would you like me to kill this monster?" Sumay asked with Tanaka beside her as they looked at Yumiko.
Still smiling, she said, "No, I want Tanaka to fight it, I want to see what you can do," then put her hands behind her head.
"Yes, master," Sumay said then turned to Tanaka.
"Well, if that's what you want then, I would love to defeat this Gryphon for you, Lady Shiwoka," Tanaka said.
He smiled as he bowed with his right hand on his chest, his left foot behind the other and his head down. Yumiko put down her hand and looked down at Tanaka as he bowed. The Gryphon was flying around above the barrier, waiting for it to fall.
"Make the barrier smaller. Tanaka, don't kill it" Yumiko said.
She then walked to the other side of the room, behind them, they turned around to her.
"Don't kill it?" Tanaka asked with his finger on his cheek and his head tilted.
"Yeah, I want to test something," Yumiko said with a smile.
Sumay made her barrier smaller and it no longer included Tanaka but now only held Sumay and Yumiko. Tanaka turned and looked up at the Gryphon. It flew down and tried to use its claws to attack Tanaka. But in the meantime.
ELA, crafting, Yumiko thought.
A throne with red padding in a diamond pattern and a golden outline came out of the ground.
Yumiko took a seat with her legs crossed, she put her left arm on the handrest and rested her head on her hand, Sumay walked over and stood beside her slightly behind the throne as they watched Tanaka fight the Gryphon.
This Gryphon didn't attack me or even try, even animals can see my superiority. Well, animals have always liked me even in my past life. But it may be my imagination, even as perfect as I am, such animals aren't smart enough to see that, then again it is a mythical animal.
Okay, so where was I with Tanaka? Oh, yes, the Gryphon uses its claws to try and attack Tanaka. It flew down with its claws out at him,
She said not to kill it, so fire is out. Sorry Aurora… wind? No, it's my go-to. I need something else, that's just as pretty. Ice magic it is, Tanaka thought after he moved out of the way of the Gryphon's attack.
The Gryphon followed Tanaka as he flew around the area using wind magic to move. Then when he was at the top end of the cave, he looked down at the Gryphon as it flew up.
Tanaka put his hand to his face, made a fist then opened it and blew, a light blue smoke with blue sparkles appeared from his hand and went flying at the Gryphon. It got frozen solid when the smoke hit it and started to fall. Tanaka smiled, then put his hand up, and waved it around into a bow.
"Thank you, thank you. Please hold your applause," he said.
Tanaka then leaned forward more and started to fall head first. He straightened then flipped over and crossed his legs in a sitting position, holding his feet together with his hands. Before he hit the ground, he stopped falling, a gust of wind appeared below him, he sat on the wind and then put his feet down.
The frozen Gryphon fell in front of Sumay's barrier. Yumiko got up from the throne she created and started clapping. Sumay let the barrier down, so that Tanaka could walk and reach them.
"That concludes my performance," he said with a smile as he skipped to Yumiko and Sumay.
He's as strong as Sumay said, I had my doubts but my new pet has proven to be useful. And also… how cool was that?! He froze it in a second then fell and landed on a wind bed. I need to learn how to do that! ELA was on, so I know the spells he used and plus if an insect can do it, it'll be easy for me.
"As you wished, one live Gryphon," Tanaka said, putting his hand out to the frozen Gryphon.
"Master, do you intend to tame this Gryphon?" Sumay said as she looked at the Gryphon and then Yumiko.
"Can I do that?" Yumiko asked Sumay, turning her head to her.
"Yes, master. But making a beast your summon is more difficult than just summoning something" she replied.
"How so?" Yumiko asked with her eyebrow slightly raised then sat back down.
"Summons like me and Tanaka can choose if they want to serve their summoner but for beasts like this Gryphon doesn't have the intelligence for that. Instant if you're stronger than it, you can tame it and make it your summon"
Oh, this is going to be more default than I thought then. I'm amazing, smart, beautiful and perfect but I'm not strong in this world, I just started the game about three days ago. It takes time to get better at a game and max your level, even for hardcore players like myself.
"Oh…yes, that could be a problem," Yumiko said with her hand on her mouth and her head tilted.
"Don't worry, lady Shiwoka, I'm sure you'll be able to tame this monster and if you can't, I'll kill it for you" Tanaka said.
He leaned forward slightly with one of his feet behind the other and his hands behind his back as he looked at the Gryphon with a smile.
"That probably won't be necessary, master. It's weak right now, so there's a good chance of making a concert with it" Sumay said.
She took up her sword that was leaning on Yumiko's throw and walked to the Gryphon.
"Okay, unfreeze it," Yumiko said, then got up and walked to the Gryphon. Let's hope this works, it seemed to like me but now you're telling me probably it's too dumb to make a contract with me? I expect too much from these animals, they really are all vermin.
Tanaka smiled as he straightened up and snapped his finger then the ice around the Gryphon shattered into little pieces like blue slater in the air.
The Gryphon stretched, shook off some ice that was on its body, and spread its wings out then looked down and saw Yumiko, it stepped forward and bowed. Yumiko smiled and then turned her head to Sumay.
"It seems to like you, master. Now, master, you have to tell it to obey you" she said.
Well of course it does, I'm beautiful and perfect. "Dungeon boss, Gryphon, I, Yumiko Shiwoka, command you to obey and serve me, until my last breath"
Light appeared around the Gryphon and something formed on the fur of the Gryphon's left paw, it was chains and a half-heart intertwined symbol in gold like the one Tanaka got.
The stones at the back of the boss's room shepherded and an entrance opened, the Gryphon got up and turned around, Tanaka turned too and watched the stones as they shepherded. They all looked at the entrances for a second then Yumiko smiled and started to walk to it. The Gryphon and Sumay started walking after her, and Tanaka skipped along with a smile.
Treasure room! Way cool! This better be good, after everything I've done to get through this dungeon. It was a pretty easy dungeon but I had to go through boredom for most of it!
Yumiko reached the entrance, which led to a small stone room. The room was clean, unlike the rest of the dungeon. It had a stone pedestal and a wooden chest with a golden outline and a lock on the front. On the pedestal was a black choker with a steel grey stone, roughly in an uneven triangle.
Yumiko walked in and looked slightly disappointed, then went to the chest.
Slightly underwhelming but this is an E-rank dungeon. I shouldn't have expected much, she thought.
