James found himself in a place of pure white. The light was so bright that he had to squint and look away. He felt no pain, only peace and serenity as he took stock of his surroundings. The world stretched on infinitely in all directions as if it were a white room that went on forever. He could feel his chest and his legs as he patted himself. He then pinched himself and felt no pain, only a slight discomfort.
"Am I dreaming?" He thought, looking closely at his hands.
James took a few steps and could hear his muffled footsteps. The only surface that returned the sound of his footsteps was the white floor he was standing oh. It wad a strange experience as his steps sounded like their volume was tuned down by 80%.
He peered around and saw nothing and no one. The feeling of being alone crept in and he began to call out.
"H, hello? Is anyone there?" James asked.
