As James laid Pippy down onto the bed Pippy reached out and grabbed his shoulder.
"James I need to tell you something."
James took her hand into his own and stared deeply into her eyes.
"What is it?"
Pippy looked down for a moment before she looked back up at him. Her cheeks were lightly flushed.
"I'm…I'm pregnant."
James thought back to the battle, and how sluggish she had been, also the sickness that had suddenly taken her. It all made sense. His Pippy was pregnant.
"Oh my god, I'm so happy right now."
James wrapped himself around her and held her close. She kissed his cheek and rubbed his back slowly.
"I've wanted this for so long James. I.."
Her tender moment was interrupted by a heavy wind that poured through the open window. The light of day seems to visible dim as dark clouds grew overhead.
