The sun began to pierce through the thick canopy of clouds, providing a much-needed respite from the oppressive gloom that had plagued them since entering Volkaria. As the storm retreated into the distance, James and his companions found themselves walking a winding path through a patch of unusually vibrant green fields.
Yori sighed with relief, lowering the protective barrier she'd held for what felt like hours. "At least the weather's giving us a break."
Pippy hopped along the uneven stones in her path, her eyes scanning the lush surroundings. "Feels too peaceful if you ask me. Should we be worried?"
James smiled softly. "I wouldn't complain just yet. Let's take a moment to catch our breath before something else comes out of the shadows."
