Chapter 19 - Three Deadly Moves

Kei had finally succeeded . He had initially thought it would be difficult to tinker with his reversed hands, but he easily got accustomed and had carried his work with ease.

He had used the weapon parts that he had purchased from the weapons shop and also had to modify one of his Tier 4 arm gloves to make a pair of dual weapons.

He looked at the pair of weapons he had made and felt very pleased at his handiwork. He unclothed himself and wore his weapons and adjusted them on his hands , it fit perfectly.

It was like a pair of gloves with four medium sized curved talons of about 30 cm fitted in sockets attached to a rotatable metal crossbar which was connected along the back of his hand and palms by a thin flexible metal strip to another bracelet shaped bar made of light metal that went around his forearms .

Every time Kei made a strong fist, his hand contraction would cause the metal strip to tighten, and thus pushing the talons out from the sockets . Superficially it looked as if the talons emerged from the perforations ,made at the joining of each finger, in his arm gloves and was facing outwards from the back of his hands .

It gave of the impression that apart from his thumb , Kei had another four sets of fingers on each hand facing opposite each other on each hand .

(Join your two hands together and put the first four fingers of each hand in the interdigit of the other , now consider the fingers of your left hand as the claws and your joined hands as a single right hand, now imagine the same for your left hand with the fingers of your right hand as the claws.)

Since, Kei could still not draw out claws from his hand he had decided to make this hidden weapon.

The talons were part of a set of spiked hammers at the weapon shop and were of some high-level winged beast . Hearing from the shop caretaker that these talons were harder than rakshasa claws, Kei had made them dismantle the hammer set and had taken the talons .

He could easily fist guard himself from incoming attacks and at the same time make surprise deadly attacks at close range with these talons since any enemy would rarely notice the back of his hands . The rotatable metal crossbar bar made by Kei also allowed him to wear the talons on his palm and use them for climbing walls or trees.

Kei started practicing with these talons against a thick woolen bedroll making several slashing motions and movements .

He felt the immense stamina in his rakshasa body compared to his previous human life, so he kept on practicing . Soon, he improvised three deadly moves on his own and started perfecting them.

He named the first move " Sky Slash".

This move was a sudden upward fist spin meant to grip at opponents' throats with the talons and continue to move the tightened fist upwards towards the sky while the talons would continue ripping the throat apart.

Kei named the second move " Third Slash".

In this move there would be three attacks. The first two attacks would be made simultaneously with conventional weapons .These attacks , made weak enough for the opponent to block them, would act as decoy to force the opponent to use both his hands.

As soon as the opponent blocks these attacks using both hands, the third attack aka "Third slash" would be made with the talons ,targeting to chop the opponent's wrist holding any weapon with a strong diagonal slash.

If the opponent had weapon on both hands then only one hand was to be targeted keeping a safe distance.

Kei practiced this diagonal slash on a locked metal locker and found that the talons were hard enough to pierce the metal surface too . He kept on practicing without holding back .

Soon , the locker door ,slashed like a cheese, fell apart.

Kei looked inside the locker and found only a pouch . He looked inside it and found Rasvet' s last letter to Kaiser , a blue pill and a prism shaped white bone bead .

He stored the letter and blue pill in the respective storage beads in his bracelet. He nurtured the prism shaped white bead and tried to bind it with his blood but it did not work. The prism shaped bead also did not fit into the indents of his bracelet , so he kept it back inside the pouch and put the pouch in the pocket of his leg apparel.

White colored as well as prism shaped beads were unheard of, so Kei felt very curious. But he decided to pursue it later and started to practice the third move .

Kei named the third move " Holy slash" .

In this move the two fists was brought together similarly as one would do when praying and as the four sets of talons touch each other a straight line hand movement would be made . It can be both vertical or horizontal ,depending upon the situation, which would instantly pierce any opponent with eight talons causing deadly damage .

Kei perfected this straight line slash too on the woolen bedroll making sure each of the eight talons were inserted deeply.

After practicing these moves to perfection Kei took some rest . He then put on his inexpensive looking brown hooded apparel and left his house . He felt hungry.

Evening had set in , the sky had turned into dark grey
