The day ended so quickly that Berry was shocked when Chris came in to call him out of the kitchen. He was even more surprised when he looked outside to see the sky painted in inky black, signifying night. He had spent the entire day in the kitchen—cooking, studying, planning—everything he loved to do, and only now did he realize how much he missed being in the restaurant like this.
Nevertheless, he was quite satisfied with how the day turned out. At least he wasn't so bored anymore and felt a sense of fulfillment wash over him. "Hey Chris, mind if I come here every day from now on?" He asked in the most polite tone he could think of, but Chris didn't fall for it.
Contrary to Berry, Chris had an unfulfilling day. He had spent the entire day pleading with Berry to stop cooking, but his pleas fell on deaf ears, and now his kitchen was filled with untouched food. What was he supposed to do with them, toss them in the bin? It wasn't like he could eat them all by himself.
