He knew that he should have at least said some comforting words, but like his lips were clamped shut, no words came out.
Honestly, he was waiting for the moment when Berry would walk away in anger and say that he would never see Stuart again because he himself knew that he was a jerk for thinking the way he was thinking. He should have never thought that Berry was going to refuse him, and even if he did, he should have never said it aloud.
