Chapter 17 - Development of Island Cedar and experiments with magic...

With everyone gone for their respective tasks me and Sirius got busy with our own tasks,

"They will be back in a month I say we get the following things done by then:

1. Set up a castle

2. Set up primary defenses around the island.

3. Set up a temporary lab to conduct experiments. " I said to Sirius, handling him the list, "sounds good, Eli, " Sirius casually replied.

For the castle, we chose the biggest mountain among the mountain chains present on the island and then I casted a massive Transfiguration spell on that mountain peak to transform it into a massive fortress type castle and for reference I chose Leonis Catle from Adra but with few differences but with few differences the main one being that instead of a huge lion statue that guards the entrance of the fortresses there was a massive dragon statue depicting it casting flames all over the sky and I had the entire structure covered with runes to make it self repairing and reinforced to such a degree that even dragon fire can't do it any damage the entire black colossal structure took me 6 hours and a heck lot of magic to make. after finishing, I declared, " From this day till the end of time this castle will be forever known as Castle Dragon's Roar" To give it its final finishing I Raised the banners of both house Dragoneel and house Belarion on the castle to signify that we are one family Always and forever . Sirius took charge of forming the primary defenses around the island and casted multiple barriers and magical traps, which would trigger immediately if they sense any intent of harm towards us and in moments like this I am extremely happy that the guy is on my side lol even with my blessings I wouldn't be able to do twenty percent of what Sirius achieved for just primary defenses heck the fucker practically made the entire island un conquerable from all sides lol his OCD working over time does have its advantages I said to myself.

It took both of us a total of five days to set everything up, and by the end of it the entire island of cedar looked less of a deserted island in the middle of nowhere and more a military stronghold of the old Valyrian empire.

Our magical experiments gave us some very unexpected results, which could be concluded as follows :

1. We need a lot more magic then normal to cast our usual spells. The reason for which we found was that the amount of magic in circulation in this world is not uniform which is causing us to exert more of our internal magic .

2. Even though the level of magic in this world is pretty low, we found that we can basically cast all types of magic over here and that the world was extremely versatile when it came to the type of magic which again caused to believe in our previous result that the uneven magical circulation is the main culprit.

3. This world has a high affinity towards ritualistic, dark, and blood magic, the reason for which we could only assume that these were the most common type of magic that was being performed by the people over here for thousands of years.

4. We also found that there is special type of tree that the locals call the heart tree and weirwood trees, which actually have the ability to connect to the internal magic lines of the panet and help regenerate and revitalize the amount of magic on the planet we also found out that these trees were considered sacred by the people of the north as they believed them to be totems of their old gods.

5. The most major discovery was that dragons are walking magic generators, and they revitalize the levels of magic in their surroundings which kind of made sense to as well.
