Chapter 10 - Not what it seems.

In the Blood Hearth Lordship everything was at its norm. Everyone was too afraid to do something that could precipitate their lives. Theodore is now known to be a righteous and lawful king. Theodore is sitting in his study, alone. He writes a list on a paper. On the list are various names, one of the names is Felicia Rinehart. Knocking is heard from the door. "You may enter!"

He hastily folds the paper and inserts it in his inner pocket. The maid that was in the tavern in Alverg places a small ceramic plate and on it a cup of coffee on the table. She bows and heads back towards the door. Theodore clears his throat and says: "Why did you speak ill of me?" Theodore didn't flinch; he looked at the coffee, but he didn't turn to look at the maid. "Excuse me, my lord, can you please say it again?"

"Did I stutter? Excuse me… I've said why do you speak I'll of me? What is your name?" Theodore asked again. "My name is Fiona, Fiona Lorance, I've worked here for 5 years sir, why is your attention on me now?" Theodore gets up from his chair and walks towards her, she backs up two steps. "Why are you afraid of me?"

The woman remembers the day he saved everyone in that tavern, the day he killed people to save people, how he tortured and killed that man in front of everyone. She is scared of the same fate. "You, you're very scary sir… Please don't kill me." Theodore chuckled and nearly burst into laughter. "I won't kill you, you've done nothing wrong, my question is: Why do you have a bad impression on me? It's not bad to gossip, but why do you choose to speak ill of me?" Theodore said, with a comforting smile.'

"I am sorry my lord, mister Ulfric, he started the rumors and bad mouthing you to the others here in the first place. I know nothing he said is true when you proven you're a lord, and a man that loves his people." A tear appears on her left cheek. Theodore wipes it. "And I've heard what you said about firing. Would you fire any servants?" Theodore shakes his head. He looks at her neck. "Nice pendant, where did you get it?" He tries to grab it to look at it closer. "NO!" She shouts, Fiona backs up even more. "My" She stutters " My husband gave it to me"

Theodore raised his eyebrow. "That ain't cheap…" He smells the air. And he remembers it. 'I don't know who used this, but it's unique.' "You can go. I have work to do." She hastily leaves and closes the door behind her. Theodore looks at the coffee cup. He smells it.

'That's poison' He said in his head. 'Lucrem… Strong smell, she had the idea that coffee will mask the smell. She was wrong. She didn't prepare it well.' He grabs the cup and throws it in a bin.

Theodore opens his phone, turns on vpn, enters a browser with a military grade proxy and looks for the same pendant. 'Silver high quality pendant' He found nothing.

He tried 'Royal pendant' a lot of knock offs, none similar to the one Fiona has. He came across a newsletter from 5 years ago. The princess of Highland, 15 years old at that time, had the same pendant. He looks up the princess and she went missing 3 weeks later Theodore's mother got engaged with the King. "I knew it!" He shouted. "Everything adds up."

Theodore rushes out of the room and goes to the barracks. Rinehart was there with Seraphine. They are playing poker. "End game now!" They look at Theodore. His facial expression was neutral like always. "What's up?" Rinehart asked. "Where does the chicken lay eggs in the forest?" Rinhart panics, as well as the other people in the barracks, all members of the war party. "Where the trees are tall and the leaves fall?" Rinehart asks.

Theodore nods. "Where is Ghost?" Rinehart points at Ghost sleeping. Theodore throws him off the bed. "WAKE THE FUCK UP!" Theodore yells. He repeats the same proposition he asked Rinehart.

"Please tell me it ain't where the leaves fall." Theodore looks at him dead in the eye. "You sure?" Theodore nods. "Follow me!" Everyone follows him, Seraphina doesn't know what is happening, but she realizes that's code for something bad.

They arrived at the training gym. Over 200 people in a huge gym that can stock triple the amount. The training dummy from when he was 14 is still there, with the same blood on the ground, now totally dry and embedded with the wood flooring.

"So what?" Ghost asked. "Now I know this room ain't pawned. They never touched it." Theodore said. "What do you mean?" Seraphine is asking. "The whole castle servants aren't hired by my family, except Ulfric. I never meet one of those people. When I first arrived I didn't recognize one of them."

Theodore goes near the dummy and punches it hard.

"Before the war started I was in this room. I had blood on my fingers and there was blood on the floor. They knew I would've probably died and never tried to clean it." Theodore Turns to his people. "We need to clean up. Kill everyone but Ulfric and that Fiona girl, she is special, and I wanna kill Ulfric myself!" They all puts their hands on their chests and scream:

"YES OUR LORD!"
