Chapter 20 - possibilities?

After your estimates, the three of you were separated. Once you were brought back into town, Tiffany was taken back to Bridget's hotel room where she could be carefully watched in case she tries to pull another escape. Nicole was left under the watchful gaze of the fiance and hopes that she doesn't eat anything else she's not supposed to and you drew the lucky into the straw. Seeing as you get to spend the rest of your time here with Mackenzie The thing is while that would be a wonderful experience for you since you arrived at Tiffany's house, you haven't had a moment to yourself in a while and now you're being periodically watched by the one person. You would rather not see you let off some steam. Not that there was anyone in particular you did want seeing you do that. But what things as they are. You have to do everything in your power to not think about the folder on your phone and how much you would like to go through it. Instead, you try to divert yourself to the television in the guest room that the only form of entertainment you have living through the channels. Nothing interests you. You have this thing about zombies so the zombie movie does not sound like a good idea. There's a show about team pregnancies but ever since high school your mother would casually make jokes about how you were pregnant to everyone around you. Thing is you know for a fact that that's not true cuz she also make jokes about how you're a virgin. There's also a family movie coming up on on the old fashioned channel, but you don't really feel anything when you watch those movies. In fact, it bugs you how little connection you feel to the movies. There's also a show about a guy who does outdoors camping and crazy foresting tricks which makes you think you want to go camping one day. You haven't been camping with your dad in a while, but the more you think about it, the more you realize how great it would be if you and Mackenzie could spend a few days together in a cabin with the lit fireplace wrapped in a blanket while watching streaming services. You try to cut off that line of thought before it gets bad not just leading to you. Turn off the TV after realizing that nothing good is on television and your phone is a landmine. You decide that you're hungry and decide to go downstairs. Of course you're supervisor decides to follow you seeing as she can't let you out of your site. Sure to another disappearing act. Spur you decide to enter the kitchen and make something to satisfy. You need to do something and keep your hands away from places that shouldn't be you open up the fridge. You try to remember everything that Tiffany said you could and couldn't teach but it was a bit hazy considering she was rambling. You remember that the yogurt was free range but playing yogurt is gross and you can't think of spot. Anything that would go great with it. You think? Maybe those chocolates on the side door but you don't recall if they are up for crabs or not. You do however spot some ground beef that has an expiration date of next week. You figure it wouldn't hurt to go with that and if they are mad about it, it's you could use your credit card to a place. It you also spot some tomato sauce you decide to make some sloppy joes you grab a pan that you find under the kitchen sink and ready the stove as you cook away. You feel the peering eyes of Mackenzie watching which reminds you. She doesn't know how to cook. You remember her going on and on about this in college about how she tried to do it once and almost ended up in the hospital for food poisoning. Have a sense she doesn't bother touching the stove. Usually she would go for gas station food or drag you to her place and force you to cook a meal which you're always excited to do but the problem is it's way too tempting for you to do other things while you're at her house. So you typically would make her her meals get a quick whiff of the air before leaving right now as you daydream you start to settly. Watch the ground beef to make sure you don't overcook it. Afterwards you add the tomato sauce to mix into the meat and then while the sauce isn't meat. Get a nice blend going. You open up the fridge again to see if there are any vegetables you could chop into it. You notice some onions and bell peppers so you decide to go with that. You're trying to be a little bit more reserved about what you do considering this isn't your house, but you're eagerness to impress. Her is winning over your reserved nature. At one point. You finally finish and flop down on the island countertop that separates the kitchen from everywhere else in the house a pot holder meant for retaining heat so it's not to damage the counter. Then you would drop down the pan full of cooked ground beef, tomato sauce and onions and bell peppers that you chopped up and then you drop and then you grab some buns from top the fridge and have them placed on as well. At one point you start to realize that it's not just the two of you anymore. There are two others that have joined you Nicole, who seems to have been hungry for a while now and the fiance who seems to have been just as hungry. Well you would rather protest them eating the heartfelt meal you made for you and Mackenzie. It's not your kitchen or your food to argue with so you decide to hold your tongue before you gorgeous on the meal in silence while being thankful for the situation. The three who only two of them don't know how to cook. Mackenzie and Nicole are thankful for your ability to cook. Your thankful that you can cook from Mackenzie and the fiance seems to just be thankful that someone other than him cooks. He's also thankful that he can enjoy the ground beef he bought with someone other than just himself. Another thing that you recall Tiffany doesn't eat red meat whenever your social group would go out for burgers. She would order chicken sandwiches. Whenever your social group went out for nachos she would just order chips and queso. She was always up to us about red meat. You never understood why? Probably one of those health kicks, but you do feel that it admirable that she sticks to her guns just as you pay respects to that. Thought you feel in the distance gym bro. Judging you for breaking your dietary commitments to eat red meat. Although you're guilt is overpowered by your lust to eat a good meal with the girl you like, you might never actually commit to being healthy. Wow! Weighing out the consequences of your actions. You realize that the other three had been talking about something that you weren't paying attention to. You try to zone in considering it was probably important but all you can hear is so what comes next which makes no sense to you. Are they talking about this meal are they talking about their situation? Are they perhaps talking about making plans for tomorrow? Either way, it's probably not a good idea to let this thought run too. Stray could lead to issues that you'll have to deal with tomorrow or in the coming future. Here decide to make a suggestion to divert their thoughts. You remember that you still haven't gotten your movie plans with your future friend and so you also haven't decided on a possible movie that the two of you could go see together thus furthering this future friendship of yours. So in an attempt to prepare you say out loud without really thinking about it. Hey, why don't the four of us go see a movie. Things are looking real stressful right now. Nothing's going to be getting done anytime soon. That's just relax. Go see a movie and friend. Get our problems you then. Settly text to Bridget and Tiffany two separate messages to Bridget you send. Don't know how you know about me. Don't plan on asking but please hurry up and cheer up. Tiffany so that this wedding can get over with and I can go home to Tiffany. You text? I know you're sad. I really want to help you through this. Going to try and smooth things over with the others and possibly get close to Mackenzie. Hope you can figure things out then. You say to the group after quickly searching movies that are playing right now that if we leave right now we could see them. The best movies this year has to offer the others. Consider what you say. I'm not really committed to whatever they're conversation was before decided to just play along of course, since you're going to be taking Nicole, there has to be some preparations to put in real life like any child. Nicole has a bad habit of wandering off you. Remember that there was a portable in one the backpack you brought with you you never took out. You decided to use that as the distraction for the car ride. You make sure you have enough change in case you wants to use the arcade while waiting for the movie today to start showing, should they pick a movie that is currently not about to start? And if all else fails, there's your points card at the movie theater you find that not a lot of people are there. Usually there is at least half a dozen hanging around during a weekday at a movie theater. However, it does make sense when you can consider the fact that streaming services are a lot more convenient than paying a half of your days. Earnings for some food drinks and a movie only to get it ruined. Sort of by the people around you or the people. Who've already seen the movie who happen to work there and just love spoiling customers. Of course there is still the charm of a movie theater. A lot of people like it when you were young. Your dad used to take you to see war movies and cop movies. Just the two of you. Mostly because your mother often would go on warpaths and start random fights with a neighbors and your father didn't I like the idea of you picking up on those habits and your brother was almost never home. Anyways, he was always up to something to the movies. Was an interesting experience. Although the floors were sticky and even in modern day, they always smells of some unusual things that go on in the movie theater head home point. You just came to appreciate that you were experiencing something great with a group of people who would all be talking about it later on but still a movie theater is just that a place where people go to do something with their lives. To your surprise at the movie theater, Mackenzie actually paid for your ticket. She probably caught on to the fact that you're dead broke after all the things that have been happening lately other than that or she was just being nice. Either way it was the best thing ever for you. The fiance decided to come before him and Nicole mostly because he wasn't convinced Nicole owns a wallet. He had a long nose when a wallet is and Nicole disappeared. No dear, that's not good after purchasing the tickets you spent a good remainder of the hours before the movie starts. Looking for a lost adult? Eventually you do find her sitting in the parking lot staring at the sky. You are not quite sure what she was doing out there, but with most things sorted out, the four of you spent the remainder of that day watching a movie and forgetting that anything happened within the last 24 hours.
