"Are you coming with me?" Elara questioned Queen Liora, uncertainty clouding her expression.
"No, I won't let the princes turn this kingdom into a game of thrones," Queen Liora replied, determination etched in her words.
"Follow me for the sake of the son whose destiny the continent lies upon," she urged, the gravity of her statement weighing heavily on Queen Liora. She held her stomach, eyeing Elara suspiciously. "This kingdom lies on me; I made a promise to my husband," she declared firmly, exiting the room.
As she made her way to the second prince's chamber, her maidservant in tow, she encountered an unexpected scene. "My prince has returned home," she announced, but Queen Liora merely nodded, preoccupied with her thoughts. "Tell the general to multiply the palace guard, tighten the security," she instructed her maid, who promptly left. Queen Liora whistled softly as her shadow guard appeared, seeking protection.
Upon reaching Aurelian's door, the guards informed her that the prince was occupied. She barged in, only to find him in a compromising situation with his bedwarmer. Flustered, she looked away, her voice firm. "The palace is not safe," she stated, quickly retreating from the room.
In the ensuing confusion, the general sought answers. "What is going on?" he demanded.
"One of the princes is plotting treason against his brother once again," Queen Liora revealed, the suspense deepening as political intrigue and danger entwined the fate of the kingdom.
