I will not say, do not weep, for not all tears are an evil. ~ J.R.R. Tolkien

....

"It's time; the kingdom is in your hands now. Lord Cedric will be here for you, and my shadow guard will keep you safe for our baby," the king said, his voice weakening.

"No!!!!" Queen Liora cried out loud, her world shattering with Adrian's lifeless body in her arms. Tears streamed down her face, the weight of sorrow crushing her.

The shadow guard appeared, breaking through her grief. "My queen, we must go. Lord Cedric is waiting for you," the guard urged, trying to guide her away from her husband's body.

Queen Liora clung to Adrian, her grip tightening. "My queen... there's no time to waste," the guard insisted, gently prying her fingers from her husband's lifeless form.

"Who is your queen?" she demanded, her voice trembling with both grief and anger. "Where were you when your king needed you?" Her hits landed on the guard, a release of her anguish and frustration.

"I obeyed his words, I followed his command, my queen. You have to leave the castle; now, the palace is no longer safe," the guard explained, urging her to prioritize her safety and the safety of their unborn child.

"I'm not going anywhere!!!" she declared, defiance flaring in her eyes.

In this heart-wrenching , the kingdom faces a dire turning point, leaving Queen Liora to grapple with the loss of her beloved Adrian while trying to navigate a world now fraught with danger and uncertainty. Will she find the strength to carry on amidst the chaos and fulfill her duty to the kingdom and her unborn child?
