Chapter 187 - Chapter 188

It was Monday, September 28, and the scientific research summit came to a close. For three days, Growlithe diligently practiced using [Agility] by repeatedly performing horizontal jumps. During the event, Teacher Luke also acquired the [Flamethrower] Secret Records from Flint. This left Luke with mixed emotions as he contemplated the situation back at home.

With October approaching and the Mid-Autumn Festival on the horizon, Luke, after bidding farewell to Professor Rowan, headed to Jubilife City Airport. Cynthia refrained from seeing him off in person but sent a text message instead.

[100 kinds Ice Cream: See you next time.]

Luke felt a tinge of longing as he muttered, "Next time... I wonder when that will be?"

Once aboard the plane headed back to Magic City, Sylveon lay on Teacher Luke's lap, peacefully napping while its cherry-colored ribbon gracefully adorned Luke's arm.

Taking a moment to check the chat group on his phone, Luke couldn't help but reflect on the discussion surrounding the 'Gigantamax Phenomenon' in the Galar Region from the summit.

Blue, Professor Oak's grandson, had a keen interest in the subject and shared his perspective.

Blue: @Teacher Luke, we haven't found any negative effects related to Dynamax. You should accept the Dynamax Band for now.

Lorelei expressed her unease: "I can't say I'm a fan of Dynamax. It feels somewhat odd."

Lance, on the other hand, didn't mince words: "That's just because you're behind the times!"

Lorelei frowned but couldn't argue since Lance was one of the first trainers to experience Dynamax.

Blue pondered and added, "Compared to Mega Evolution, which can also be used in the wild, Dynamax appears to be more conducive to commercial events. However, this may dilute its significance in battles."

Gold chimed in with frustration: "Darn it! Why did the League change the rules? I want to use Dynamax in battles too!"

Green, with a smirk, offered some advice: "You could always visit Mt. Silver and learn from Red."

Gold wisely decided to let that topic drop.

Luke inquired: "@Gold, do you have Silver's contact information? I'm planning to go to Johto, and I might need to get in touch with him."

Gold replied, "I've been in touch with him recently. He's been avoiding Interpol's investigation; those guys are causing a lot of trouble."

This comment made Lance frown as Interpol wanted to pressure Giovanni, and Silver, as his son, was caught in the middle.

Green playfully teased, "I'm not worried about Silver; Gold, don't sell him out."

Gold protested, "Why would I do that? I'm totally honorable!"

The discussion shifted to nostalgic memories of their past adventures. It was a delightful trip down memory lane, full of camaraderie and shared experiences.

Luke had a thought: when he reached Johto, he should consider visiting Gold. While he may not match Gold's skills in billiards, he could at least go fishing, right?

The chat took a turn as Green left a product recommendation link. With the Mid-Autumn Festival fast approaching, Green had purchased unique 'Moon Rock Mooncakes' that were still waiting to be sold.

Red was ecstatic: "These sound great! I'll take a few."

Green acknowledged the request with excitement. Red contemplated his choices, wondering who else he should buy the mooncakes for. Eventually, he decided, "Never mind. Let's have a meal together. That's the plan!"

The Mid-Autumn Festival was just two days away. Luke had worked out his schedule and realized he wouldn't be able to make it to Johto before the festival. He planned to spend the Mid-Autumn Festival with his parents, then rush back to the studio in time for the launch of "Angry Pidove."

Upon arriving back at his community villa, Luke found his Squirtle already enjoying the fish tank and releasing a contented breath. Haunter, armed with a broom, was busily cleaning the house.

In the afternoon, the neighborhood committee delivered a few boxes of mooncakes. "These are for little Sylveon to enjoy," the friendly neighbor said, handing over two boxes. "And here are a couple of boxes for Haunter!"

Luke couldn't help but sigh, wondering, "So there's nothing for me?"

"Yes, I did say that," Aunt replied with a smile. "I thought you didn't like mooncakes."

Teacher Luke was a bit taken aback. A new interior decoration company had recently opened in the neighborhood.

"Teacher Luke, it's been a while," the foreman greeted him and introduced his company. "Don't forget to consider us for your next renovation project!"

Luke couldn't help but chuckle. "I'll certainly keep that in mind!"

..........

Wednesday, September 30.

With the arrival of autumn, Sylveon's fascination with snuggling into Teacher Luke's bed grew stronger. Growlithe also enjoyed resting on Luke, but Sylveon's ribbon frequently swept it away.

Taking advantage of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Luke visited his hometown. As he strolled through the nostalgic surroundings with Sylveon by his side, he fondly reminisced, "Back then, you weren't so willing to be friends with me."

Sylveon playfully turned its head with an expression of innocence and said, "Vui~! o(´^`)o."

Luke couldn't help but smile, and the two of them continued along the tranquil path.

Upon reflection, Luke realized that not even half a year had passed since he received his first Pokémon. Yet, Pokémon had seamlessly become an integral part of his life, and they had found a permanent place in his heart.

In the evening, the family gathered in the refreshing courtyard to enjoy the cool breeze. Growlithe dashed around the yard, Squirtle displayed its strength with one-arm push-ups, and Sylveon nestled in Luke's arms, gazing up at the enchanting moonlit sky.

The full moon hung high in the night sky, and notifications from the chat group filled the air.

Red: "@Teacher Luke [Video]"

In the video, numerous familiar faces were gathered in Professor Oak's courtyard. Kanto's trainers, including Brock, Misty, and Green, were holding a grand banquet. Red held a box of mooncakes, which he had purchased from Green, and distributed them to everyone.

Yellow was impressed and commented, "Brock senior's culinary skills are incredible!"

"Still not as good as Teacher Luke," Brock replied somewhat modestly.

Sapphire added, "Ruby and I also returned to Hoenn! [Picture]"

The picture depicted a sweet couple. The somewhat awkward Professor Birch sat beside Ruby's father, Norman.

Gold teased, "This is all about meeting the parents!"

Lorelei sighed, tears in her eyes. She said, "Enough about that... I'm so exhausted..."

Meanwhile, Dragonite flew gracefully beneath the full moon, with Dragon Tamer Lance dedicated to maintaining peace and justice.

Simultaneously, the man in a suit and leather shoes stood beneath the full moon, gently stroking a photo in his hand.

Cynthia traveled back to Celestic Town to reunite with her grandmother. Her serious-faced grandmother observed, "You seem to have something on your mind, Cynthia."

Cynthia snapped out of her reverie and gazed at the full moon, her indifferent expression masking her deeper thoughts. She replied, "Perhaps."

After the Mid-Autumn Festival break, it was time to return to school. Excitement brewed among many gaming enthusiasts because the Pokémon Studio's third game was set to release on the ORAS platform. Known for its exceptional quality and captivating art style, this studio had earned high praise from parents and teachers due to its educational elements related to Pokémon. Moreover, the most crucial factor was that the games from this studio were truly enjoyable.

Even before its official release, the new game had climbed to the top three in the pre-sale rankings. Game reviewers had already produced trial-play reviews, garnering rave reviews. The studio's reputation was such that it didn't need heavy marketing; word of mouth was enough to generate substantial buzz.

This new game, "Angry Pidove," was poised to be the next big hit, with its unique blend of entertaining gameplay and educational Pokémon knowledge.
