Squirtle pondered the situation carefully. Since they would all be colleagues in the future, it was essential to make sure they were a good fit. Glancing at the wet Haunter and Eevee, Squirtle nodded in agreement.
"uirt~ ヾ(⌐■_■)"
"jie jie~ o(*≧▽≦)ツ"
Haunter burst into laughter, indicating that this interesting little brother had been accepted.
"vui~! (〝▼皿▼)"
Eevee shook off the water droplets, looked at the soaked Silk Scarf, and immediately grinned.
Squirtle was momentarily surprised, but before it could react, it was taken away by a swift Iron Tail.
Luke : ∑(っ°Д°;)っ
Haunter: ∑(っ°Д°;)っ
Squirtle executed a flawless series of 360° spins in the air, throwing the sunglasses back to Luke and aiming its Headbutt downward. With a fierce dive, it pierced the floor.
Luke panicked as he caught the sunglasses, realizing that Squirtle was about to puncture the floor. With a loud crash, the turtle shell smashed through the floor, causing the entire room to shake. Luke wiped the sweat from his forehead, realizing that it wasn't him he should be worried about, but rather the other tenants in the building.
"vui~," Eevee snorted, shook its tail lightly, and moved aside to prepare for its meal.
Luke wiped his sweat and exchanged nervous glances with a shivering Haunter, swallowing involuntarily. They had probably offended someone this time.
Meanwhile, Squirtle inside its turtle shell had a question mark slowly forming above its head. Were the other Pokémon of his master this strong? Could it be that the Pokémon outside the university were much more powerful than those in the Magic University Breeding House? In an instant, Squirtle realized that it must be because it wasn't strong enough. If it couldn't even beat the master's other Pokémon, how could it hope to achieve its dream of becoming a champion? It decided to first assess the surrounding situation and then sneak out for additional training at night.
Teacher Luke's culinary skills were exceptional. He poured his heart and soul into his cooking, and the dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Thanks to his [Cooking Skills Lv3], Luke was just a step away from being a super chef, capable of preparing perfect Pokémon food as well.
Squirtle was instantly won over by Luke's cooking skills. It held a hot red bean taiyaki, its cheeks blushing with delight.
"uirt~ ('▽`〃)"
Haunter and Eevee initially showed disdain, but as soon as they took a bite of the taiyaki, their expressions shifted to one of pleasant surprise.
Haunter & Eevee: (′▽`〃)
Luke cleared his throat, realizing that today's Berry portion might have been a bit excessive, and he should adjust the recipe next time.
After dinner, Teacher Luke lay on the sofa, watching TV while a determined Squirtle did push-ups in front of him.
"uirt~ uirt~!"
Squirtle chanted slogans while sweating profusely and doing push-ups. Luke couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth.
"Why are you suddenly so diligent? You wanted to be a scumbag, didn't you?"
Haunter was moved by the sight and floated over to Squirtle, waving its fists against the wall.
"jie jie~ jie jie~"
Eevee, on the other hand, hesitated for a while before leaping onto the exercise wheel, showing its flexibility.
"Eevee: vui~! ヾ(^∀^)ノ"
With Squirtle now in the mix, Teacher Luke's home had taken on a distinctly training-oriented atmosphere.
Luke: ?
Is something amiss here? My original intention was to pick a slacker, right?
Feeling out of place in this scenario, Luke let out a sigh and turned off the TV before opening his mobile group chat.
...
The hot topic in the group was about the Attribute Expert Cup scheduled for August. This limited event was held in various regions and was exclusive to experts of the 18 different attributes.
Green: "@Lorelei, Sister Lorelei, I heard you'll be the judge for the Ice Type expert competition in Unova, is that true?"
Lorelei: "No, it's Mr. Pryce from Johto Region. He's far more qualified than I am."
Luke raised an eyebrow. Pryce, the Ice Type Gym Leader from Johto Region, had a Level 1 god-like Swinub. Quite the expert!
Gardenia: "@Teacher Luke, Teacher Luke! The first tournament is the Grass Type Expert Tournament in Kanto. Will you be participating?"
Luke's expertise in attributes had always been somewhat mysterious. However, as a Tactical Master, Luke's proficiency in attributes was on par with Red's, so it wasn't surprising.
Gardenia was mainly interested in discussing tactics like Substitute-Toxic-Protect-Paralysis with Luke.
Luke, being honest, replied, "I can't participate. I've only just caught my third Pokémon."
Gardenia felt a bit disappointed.
Green's attention, on the other hand, focused on the second part of Luke's message.
Green: "@Teacher Luke, who's your third Pokémon?"
Luke glanced at Squirtle, who was lifting dumbbells under Haunter's guidance, and sighed, "It's a Squirtle, but it's too cautious."
In Johto's Breeding House, Gold, munching on an apple, chimed in, "So you got it from the old man, just like Sister Green?"
"I'm thinking of calling Professor Oak!" Blue whispered.
"They're all the same, more or less," Gold replied.
Gold put down his phone and muttered, "Teacher Luke even knows Professor Oak..."
Seems like Teacher Luke is quite tactical, just like the old man, Gold thought with a hint of irritation.
Red, Blue, and Green had received Kanto Region's Three Initial Starters from Professor Oak. Seeing Luke get a Squirtle made them feel a sense of camaraderie.
Green smiled and said, "Breeding records for the Three Initial Starters are quite rare. If Teacher Luke needs one, I can sell you a copy..."
Teacher Luke replied, "That won't be necessary."
Blue rubbed his temples, realizing that Green's profiteering tendencies had resurfaced.
But Blue also acknowledged that when it came to Blastoise, Green was more knowledgeable than he was.
It seemed that Teacher Luke was confident about his Blastoise's breeding.
Blue wondered, "Does Professor Oak know Teacher Luke?"
"If possible, Teacher Luke, could you help us gather some information?" Blue asked.
Luke, who was highly praised by Red, Blue recognized Luke's strength over time. Blue had gradually come to accept that fact, even overcoming his rivalry with Red.
Freeing himself from Red's shadow, Blue muttered to himself, "Perhaps Teacher Luke has been a Pokédex holder for a long time..."
Brock squinted his eyes and added, "While I may not be able to teach Teacher Luke about breeding, I do know a Water Type expert."
Luke was taken aback by this revelation. The Water Type expert Brock mentioned couldn't be...
[Member 'Rock-Solid' invited 'Cerulean 'Mermaid' to join the Master chat group]
Misty, Cerulean City's Water Type Gym Leader, had a different personality from her TV version and was more like a gentle big sister. Interestingly, Misty shared a fondness for Red, much like Yellow.
Lorelei, silently watching the chat, had a knowing smile on her face, rolling on her bed in delight. Even Lance couldn't help but shake his head and smile.
Luke looked up at the sky and couldn't help but chuckle. It seemed that Lord Red's harem was gaining another member!
But as he thought about it, the puzzled expressions on Red's face were sure to be priceless. Luke's smile slowly spread as he realized that this chat group was becoming more and more entertaining!
