Chapter 12 - Chapter 11:

Ayra's POV

"Nicol, what are you doing here?" I asked coldly, noticing that she was in uniform.

She didn't answer my question but instead hugged me tightly and started crying.

"I thought you were dead," her voice trembled. What is she saying?

I was puzzled. "What do you mean I'm dead?"

She faced me. "There were guys talking outside the university. I heard them saying they were going to kill you, so I came here to tell you."

"Tsk." I scoffed. "You shouldn't have listened. You might have put yourself in danger because I don't care about your life."

I walked inside, there were no more people around, they might have gone home. I went to my room and changed my clothes. After I finished getting ready, I went back to Nicol. I angrily got into the driver's seat and started the car quickly.

"Did they see you?" I asked her.

"I don't know, I ran away immediately."

"Hays." I let out a string of frustrated sounds. "Were you followed?"

"I took a taxi right away."

"What were they carrying and wearing?"

"They were dressed all in black, and their faces were covered. They only had knives with them."

"Bullshit," I cursed when I heard her statement.

We quickly arrived at the university and I parked the car. Before we got out, I said something to Nicol.

"One day, I'll need you, so even though I'm pushing you away, stay by my side." I said meaningfully, leaving her puzzled.

I got out of the car and didn't wait for her, heading straight inside. I glanced at my wristwatch. I was ten minutes late. My face remained emotionless as I made my way to the room, and I opened the door with a thud, seeing our professor lecturing.

"You're late!" he shouted.

"Yes, I'm late. Sorry," I said coldly, taking a seat.

Shortly after, Nicol entered.

"You're late too, Miss Cuevas."

"Yes, I'm late, I'm so sorry," Nicol replied and sat next to me.

I listened to our professor until the dismissal time came. I had been feeling drowsy for a while, unable to grasp anything.

"I'm hungry, sister," Jean said softly, rubbing her stomach.

"Let's go?" I invited her.

The two of us left for the cafeteria. Once we entered, we saw Kim waiting for us at a table.

"Oh, you're here," she said with a smile. "Let's eat, I already ordered."

We sat down and started eating. In the middle of our meal, someone suddenly sat in an empty chair.

"Hi," A wave from Dave a.k.a Hagorn.

"Hi, handsome," Kim and Jean waved enthusiastically, clearly smitten by this guy.

"Hey, what's your name?" Hagorn asked, his gaze fixed on my face so I frowned.

"Cassiopeia," I lazily replied, referring to a character from a show. Whenever I face Dace, I lose interest.

"Hahaha!" Kim and Jean laughed in disbelief. "She's Ayra."

Hagorn faked a laughed and nodded. "Ah. Haha. Hi, Ayra."

"Cut it out, or I might stab you with this fork." I snapped while eating.

"What's Hagorn?" he asked me with a frown.

"Stop being so innocent, man." My annoyance was evident on my face. "Hagorn is a villian."

"Ahh," he nodded even though I knew he didn't really get what I said. I think he's a boring person.

"Go away, can you?" I shooed him.

"Be, don't shoo him away. He's so handsome," Jean said. She's right but I don't like boring person so I don't like this man.

We couldn't help but stare at Falcon, who was glaring at Hagorn. What's his problem?

"Hey, what building are you in?" Kim suddenly asked, thankfully diverting his attention away from me.

I saw Falcon giving Hagorn a menacing look. Tsk! What's his issue?

"Building A-3," Hagorn answered while still looking at me. "Hi, Miss Ayra, are you not going to talk to me?"

My eyebrows raised at his words. "Who are you for me to talk to?"

"Friends?" He asked, raising his eyebrows and extending a hand towards me. Seriously? Am I supposed to accept that?

"Ayiieee," Jean teased us

"Nayyyt! Love is in the air!" Kim shouted. Shipping us.

I ignored them and continued eating. They really managed to annoy me, huh.

"Ayiiee, Ayra, pay attention to him! Faster!"

One.

"Hey, talk to me!"

Two.

"Please, be my friend, Ayra?"

Three and you'll see Hell.

I turned my gaze towards him, about to yell at him, but my attention was diverted elsewhere.

He had a tattoo on the side of his neck, a demon-like design similar to the knife that was used on my brother. It felt like all the blood in my body rushed to my head.

"Do you know anything about my brother's death?"

"Hey, friend," he said, about to reach for me, but I moved away.

I gave him a cold stare.

I'll kill you if you're involved.

Everyone in the cafeteria was surprised when I slammed our table. I stood up and wiped my face.

"What's wrong, Ayra?" Hagorn asked, about to come closer but I moved away.

"Sto—"

"I'm not—"

"I said stop!"

"What's the matter, I just wanted to—"

"I said stop! Stay away from me! I can't stand looking at your face anymore!"

"I'm not—"

"What's the matter?!" I shouted in frustration. I was so angry because of his persistence. It's infuriating.

Jean and Kim approached me.

Bryx, Ace, Dave and Ross belong to this man.

"She doesn't want to talk you anymore so leave, bro," Ace pleaded who is obviously holding his patience too.

"You're making a trouble," Dave said.

"Hey, Ayr—" Hagorn.

"Are you de—"

Why doesn't he want me to finish speaking? I don't want to be interrupted!

"I just want to—"

"I don't ca—"

"I didn't do anything—"

Falcon suddenly interrupted his speech. "Stay away from my wife or I'll k*ll you? Go away, I've been holding back."

"I don't want to see your face anymore, I might even kill you."

I was about to walk when I noticed Uling in the corner smiling while watching us.

When he looked up at me, I grinned.

"How are you, Charcoal?" I asked with a smirk in a cold voice.

"It's okay, Hell," he answered playfully.

"Tsk."

I continued walking. I noticed that Falcon and Jean followed me. I sat on the bench and bowed. I felt them sit down.

"What's going on?" Falcon asked confused.

Dace..That fucking man...

"We were surprised you're screaming," Ace said referring me.

"Ayra!" Someone called my name and it was Nicol. They were obviously surprised.

I raised my head.

"H-He's the man I saw talking to the men in black, the one you had a fight with in the cafeteria," she was still panting because she had obviously run.

I bend down, I'm feeling different. Why am I so soft-hearted when it comes to this? I can feel my anger slowly rising, my lips trembling, and it feels like something is stuck in my throat.

"Ahh!" I shouted and without thinking, I punch the metal post. I want to let out my anger, I want to release my emotions. "Just wait..."

I sense Falcon hugging me from behind. It's a signal for me to stop, not to lose control, he wants to calm me down.

"What right do they have to kill the innocent?!" I shout with all my strength, tears streaming down my face, I can't handle it and I turn to Falcon and hug him.

"What's that, Nicol?" Kim asks.

"Yo—" Nicol starts.

"I need to catch my breath," I say to cut off whatever Nicol was about to say. They can't know.

"Are you okay now?" They all asked me.

"Yes," I answer without enthusiasm and break away from Falcon's embrace.

"Are you okay now, Ayra? How are you feeling?" Falcon asks. It's obvious that he's worried and wants to ask me more but he doesn't know how.

"Come with me, Nicol," I said to Nicol.

They all look surprised because I gave attention to our friend, Nicol.

"S-Sure," she answered nervously.

I start walking ahead, feeling Nicol following me. I scan around and see what I've been looking for.

"Is that the person you saw at the gate?" I asked while looking at Nicol.

"Yes, that's the one who wants to kill you."

I walk towards Hagorn and grabbed his color immediately, surprising him.

"What do you need from me?" I asked coldly as if I was afraid of nothing.

"Whoa, easy, friend. What did I do wrong?" His voice carries a hint of mockery.

"Answer me, I'm not joking, asshole."

I scanned my surroundings in case there were any students around, but there weren't any.

"What are you saying?" he frowned.

"Do you know me? You called me Cancer, so what do you want from me?" I glared at him. I want to punch him now but I stopped myself.

He suddenly grinned, furrowing my brow. "To kill you."

I smiled back and even chuckled a bit. I couldn't help but give him a punch now. "If you can manage to kill me."

"That's enough, Ayra!" I heard Nicol shout. Okay.

"I'll focus on you alone, I'll wait for my death using only your palms." And then I walked away.

"Are you okay?"

Oh, she followed after all. Stubborn.

"Just go inside, leave me be for now."

"O-Okay," Nicol answer. Still stuttering.

After a while, I felt her turning away.

I went to the garden with lots of flowers. I couldn't help but smile faintly, something similar happened during high school in this garden.

"Huhuhu!" I cried. "I will let him go, he thinks I'll show up? I don't care even he will die!" I muttered under my breath and continued crying.

"He's not the only handsome guy in the world. I'm just in high school, I'll see many more." I talked to myself, trying to convince myself even though I couldn't. "Waaaaaaahhhh! So annoying!"

"Like me, handsome." I looked at the one who spoke. Another handsome guy. Wow, he's really good-looking, I think he smells nice too. "Are you done checking me out?" I snapped back to reality when he spoke.

"You didn't do anything wrong. Why are you asking?" I retorted, trying to act tough.

"I really didn't do anything wrong because they call me Mr. Perfect." Ugh, I knew he was full of himself. He flexed and smiled at me.

I gave him a glare and shouted. "Cocky!"

"That's not cocky, it's confident."

I covered my mouth, realizing I misspoke. Darn it, this is the effect of being heartbroken. Wahhhh! I don't want to anymore!

My boyfriend is leaving me again.

"Waaaaaahhhh!" I returned to crying because I remembered again.

"Oh, no! Why are you crying?" He seemed flustered trying to get me to stop. "I'm sorry, I won't tease you anymore."

"Waaahhhh!" I continued crying even harder. "Why did he leave me?"

"Alright." He seemed genuinely concerned. He scratched his head and sat down next to me.

"Waaaahhh! I really want to kill him, it's better that way, no escape."

"Enough of that!" He said, clearly irritated. I was taken aback when he kissed me on the cheek.

"W-Why did you do that?" I asked, surprised, my tears temporarily stopped.

"Yes! Success!" He exclaimed in delight. What success was he talking about? What is he saying?

I furrowed my brow and gave him a disapproving look. I couldn't hold back anymore and asked. "Hey! What success are you talking about?"

"Success because I made you stop crying, hahaha. The effect of my kiss is amazing."

"Cocky!" I shouted in annoyance. Ugh. What is this? "Cocky!"

"It's confidence, not cockiness," he replied irritably.

"Tsk! Whatever." I said with a dismissive tone. "Maybe your girlfriend will get mad."

He flashed a wide smile. "She didn't see, hahaha."

"Well, I'll tell her," I said, about to stand up when he stopped me.

"If you stand up, I'll kiss you. If you leave, I'll marry you. So just stay there, you're annoying me, you're too nosy."

"Okay."

I remembered going to what would be our future house. The first thing I saw was him with another woman.

I'm standing in front of a house gate now, carrying my suitcase. I don't know whether I should ring the doorbell or not, I don't want to get married even if my heart is shattered.

But eventually, I rang the doorbell. The gate opened and the guard greeted me.

I looked at him coldly.

"Hi, ma'am. Good evening!" He greeted me.

"There's nothing good about the evening, guard." My tone still carried the coldness.

"Just call me Eric, ma'am."

"Sure, guard," I replied and started walking ahead.

The property is quite spacious, with plants and trees around. Why did he choose this place? It feels like it's in the middle of a forest. I took a deep breath as I was about to meet my husband for the first time.

We've never actually met before.

I walked ahead and as I opened the door, I was greeted by two people kissing.

I just looked at them coldly, and they stood up.

"S-Sorry," the man apologized.

"Who is Bryxwell Falcon?" My face showed no emotion.

"He's in his room, but don't disturb him, okay?" The woman reminded me.

"Are you the one I'm talking to?" I sarcastically ask and head towards a room.

I opened one room, but it was empty. I followed the other one, only to find something more intense.

A naked man and woman. Their eyes widened when they saw me.

"Fuck!" The man swore, complaining that he got interrupted.

"Enjoy it faster and harder." I even whispered to my future spouse. What do I care?

I went downstairs and saw two people sitting on the couch.

"Hi, I'm Dave," the man introduced himself, extending his hand to me, which I didn't accept.

"I'm—" The woman's attempt at introducing herself was interrupted.

"Are you my wife?" The man I saw earlier in the room asked.

In a moment, we were glaring at each other.

He's the guy from the garden. What the heck?! Disgusting.

"No," I calmly replied, assessing his entire body. I sighed deeply and looked at him coldly. "I'm the maid."

"Whoa, miss, are you not affected by my friend's charisma? He was wearing only boxer shorts."

"No, why would I be affected by his charisma when he's already kissed me?" I said with a smirk, earning a raised eyebrow from him.

"Ah, you're the girl who called me 'cocky'." He said, and his face lit up with a memory.

"Is there a spare room here?" I asked abruptly.

"Let's share."

"I'm not sharing a room with you if there have been other girls in your bed. And if I do enter your room, there's only one meaning to that – it's harder, faster." I cringed at what I just said.

"Up to you," he said irritably, because he didn't get what he wanted. "It's also up to you whether you'll tell your parents that I'm being unfaithful."

"Why would I tell on you? If I can handle other men, Mr. Bryxwell Falcon, I never assumed you were my husband."

I stopped thinking when I felt someone beside me.

Ace Grande.

"Why?" I asked coldly.

"Can't you even mention my name?" he asked. "But to Dark, Dark?"

"Psh." I kept walking and he followed me. "What do you want from me, bastard?"

"Is it wrong to follow?"

I quickened my pace.

"What is it, Grande?!"

Annoying, really!

I just ignored him and continued walking. I stopped because of what I heard.

"You idiot, Ace!" That was Falcon's voice, right?

I turned to them, and it seemed like Falcon punched Ace.

What's wrong with this guy?

I approached them. "Why are you fighting?"

Ace stood up and punched Falcon.

"What's your problem?!" he angrily asked while holding the spot Falcon punched.

Falcon stood up too. "So you're my wife's ex. I trusted you so much, did you know I'm extremely jealous of her ex, who is you? What went into your mind and you kept that secret from me?!"

"So what if it's me?" There was a challenging tone in his voice. He wanted to fight Falcon.

"What if it is?" I could see the anger in his eyes. "When she cries, you comfort her. I thought you were just comforting her or being a friend, but you're actually her damn ex."

"I could've taken her away," he grinned, which infuriated Falcon. Falcon suddenly punched Ace. They started fighting.

"Stop." I tried to stop them, but they continued. Many students were watching them.

No shame at all!

I got annoyed, so I didn't hesitate to punch them. Yes, both of them.

"Is fighting fun?!" I shouted to them.

Our friends came.

"Don't you dare come near my wife," Falcon threatened.

Wow, my husband is still angry.

"Did Ayra make you happy, huh?" Ace asked with a smirk.

"I regret that! Fuck you!" Falcon shouted.

"Regret comes too late. Just try to let her go because if she ends up with me, you won't be able to touch her anymore."

"We'll see."

"She's hurting because of you, Bryx—"

I cutted him.

"What?! You're not young anymore to act like that with a lot of people! No one made me happy, stop that! Because when this happens, I'm the one who catches her."

To be continued...
