" Have a goodnight, dear." Xu Li patted Xu Nian to sleep and left his room. 'She sure dote's on her brother. Well, according to her, however knowledgeable her brother might be. One thing is clear that is her role of a guardian." This past one year, Xu Nian realized Xu Li's devotion towards him. It is as if she is desperately trying to hold on to something. " She must have been heavily traumatized while seeing her brother's crippled body. All her family members were killed, too." Xu Nian sympathized with her.
" She must be quite desperate to not lose her last remaining family member. What is so special about a family?" Xu Nian wore a dark expression while slowly mumbling his thoughts.
"Thud," there was a subtle noise coming from above. Xu Nian immediately shouted, " Sis!! Are you okay?"
There were heavy noises coming now as if a huge fight was going on. Xu Li replied after a couple of minutes, " I'm fine, just a pest got in. Don't worry, I'm coming." Xu Li entered the room while dragging paralyzed man. The man was so thin that his skin stuck to his bones.
" Looking at him, he must be from the Beggar's Sect. They are insane people who flood the streets with petty beggars. They work like watchdogs for people. Their specialty is information." Xu Li elaborated on the Beggar's Sect. She added their influence around the world. They weren't restricted to any kingdom. Even though dressed like a beggar, even their intermediate members were far more well off than a country officer.
" What are you doing? Leave me be. I'm just an information collector. I am not here to harm anyone." The beggar spilled his purpose to save himself. He was astonished to find a high-level cultivator in the last remaining Xu family members.

Don't act unwisely if you want your information safe." The man blurted out threats to somehow get out safely.
" Ruan, is it? We will only receive any backlash if you are even capable of setting foot outside my domain." Xu Li retorted fiercely. Even though Ruan was sweating profusely out of fear, he had to make it out alive. " How... how about we exchange information. I will answer any of your questions as long as you answer mine." Hw was sure they would agree.
" Aren't you delusional to be making a fifty-fifty deal with someone who holds your life at hand." Xu Nian added. He sat in the wheelchair with Xu Li's help.
"You.." Ruan was upset with his retort but agreed. He said, " Then you may ask two while I one. Xu Li replied angrily, " Aren't you a conceited bastard? Why do you think we should answer your queries? Answer ours, or else you won't ever leave this place."
Ruan was scared. He couldn't bear Xu Li's aura. He was struggling to breathe. Still, he persisted, " Fine... how... how about you ask three while I ask you one? Please let me. I can't leave an empty hand."
" Okay, do so." Xu Nian said while looking at Ruan blank faced. Xu Li was thankful that her brother was safe. She didn't wish for more and nodded in agreement.
