Arthur was lying on the bed he used when he stayed at Isa's place. He wanted to stay close by in case Ray started throwing up again. Isa was downstairs preparing soup. He hadn't tried to eat today, but he did need to.
The poor kid had started throwing up around three in the morning. And it was preferable that they'd already been at Isa's. Science wasn't his strong suit, but Isa said that Ray could get people sick since so many other people lived in the base. Not to mention, kids usually wanted their mom-figure when they were sick.
He also was acting like his head hurt. Because he felt so bad, he didn't particularly want to talk.
Knock-knock!
Isa said, "I'm going to start the laundry. Can you try to get Ray to eat? I'll check on you both once I'm done."
"Of course." Arthur got up. "Does he need more medicine?"
"I'm going to take care of that myself," she replied.
