When Randy and Betty found the boss, he was sipping a coffee as Noah talked to him. Lany was staring at the people who passed by with their baby.
"Hermano! Primo!"
The boss turned to look at his sister. "Are you out shopping?"
"We brought a new kid home recently, so we needed to get a few things for him."
Sarah came over with a shopping cart that was filled to the brim. "The babies are cute, aren't they, Lany?"
He said nothing as he nodded.
"I'd love to have another one, too..."
"Surprised you didn't do that sooner."
Randy wanted to grab his head. Why did that have to be the first thing he said in front of the boss?
"Do we have to go?" Noah asked.
"We got everything we needed," Betty said, "so we should probably go soon."
Noah nodded.
The boss put a hand on Randy's shoulder. "You're ready to come back, aren't you? I need to talk to you first. Is the day after tomorrow okay?"
