"Why the long face?" Del asked as Betty walked slowly into the living room.
"I thought I knew the Kurenai siblings well, but I'm starting to realize, I don't know them as well as I thought."
Del snorted. "You can't ever know a person entirely, silly. We all have our hidden sides."
She hummed. "True. But, don't you think it's kind of scary?"
"Scary? How so?"
"I mean, that people might not be as they present themselves."
He crossed his arms. "I guess it can be if they have ulterior motives, but most people are just trying to get some space."
Betty hummed. "You say that, but you don't give En his space."
He laughed nervously. "Well, he was the one who taught me that."
"Sometimes, you have to know what you're looking for too," Hannah said as she joined them in the living room. "People with bad motives sometimes let their masks slip."
Del lowered his head. "Too bad the Cats aren't good at noticing those kinds of things."
